TODAY'S THOUGHT
This is the miracle that happens every time to those who really love; the more they give, the more they possess
Rainer Maria Rilke
JUST FOR TODAY
We all need to look for the silver linings in our day-to-day lives
Just for today: when I'm not able to be there to care for loved ones, I will pray for them. I will also pray for the ones who are providing the care needed.
Caregivers understand that they are serving God by caring for precious creations of God. They consider it an honor to give their time, to apply their knowledge, to share their faith in loving, helpful ways
TODAY’S QUOTE
Love 'em for what they are and forgive 'em for what they ain't

IT’S MONDAY !!
AND
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO DS#3 AND HIS WIFE
May the dear Lord bless you both today and always.
It’s back to work once more and this should be a busy Monday as there will be payroll to do today. After many weeks of lay off, all of our men are working again so things are getting busier for me too.
This will be a normal 5 day work week except for the fact that I have to do payroll on Friday too. Next Monday is Memorial Day, a National Holiday, and I’m off work as will alot us in the US, so payroll must be done on Friday so that they get paid next week when the usually do.
Tuesday evening my dulcimer friends and I are supposed to get together and Thursday evening should be Bible Study night. So my week will be a busy one all around. I’m looking forward to the 3 day weekend ahead. I’ll need the rest for sure.
We did a lot of work around the campsite spreading stone this past weekend but it looks so nice it was worth all the work. I didn’t do as much as everyone else did, but someone had to take pictures after all.
I put a few of them on my journal page for you to see if you want. Just click on the link at the bottom of this newsletter for ‘What’s New at My House’.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Dear God, we need your help to deal with daily struggles and fears. We ask for renewed trust in you and for perseverance in overcoming challenges
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!

Today is National Cheese Souffle Day
No Dirty Dishes Day. Today is a reprieve from the daily pile of dishes to wash and dry. Day after day, we do the daily chore of washing and drying dishes, then put them away in various cabinets and drawers. You deserve a break from this routine. And, today is that day. The objective of this day is to have no dirty dishes. It is not intended to pile them up until tomorrow. There are two ways to avoid dirty dishes today: 1. Use disposable plates, cups and silverware for all meals and snacks. 2. Take the family out to eat all three meals. Then for snack, go out for ice cream!
National Backyard Game Week and
Work at Home Moms Week begin today
TODAY’S SMILE
A first grade teacher seated her students in a circle. She asked them what they wanted to be when they grew up. One by one, each child got up and announced, "I'd like to be a nurse like my mother," or "I want to be a banker like my father," or "I want to be a teacher like you, Miss Smith."
The last child to speak was the most shy and timid little boy in the class. He said, "When I get big, I'm going to be a lion tamer in the circus. I'm going to face those animals with my whip and chair and make them leap through hoops of fire and obey all of my commands." Seeing the disbelieving looks on the faces of his classmates that he could ever act so boldly or bravely, he was quick to reassure them, "Well, of course, I'll have my mother with me
TODAY’S REFLECTION
As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete. This is my commandment: love one another as I love you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends
John 15:9-13
That Christ willingly accepted crucifixion for our sakes, that he gave the greatest proof of love which the world has ever known, by laying down his life for his friends, did not make his sufferings any less, did not ease any of the pains of Calvary
Be grateful to God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; love the Blessed Trinity; prove your love by loving your fellowmen. By doing this you are fulfilling the whole law and the prophets; and you are assuring yourself of the place in heaven which Christ has won for you
