TODAY'S THOUGHT
When people go to work, they shouldn't have to leave their hearts at home
Betty BenderJUST FOR TODAY
We all need to look for the silver linings in our day-to-day lives
Just for Today: Tell someone every day that you are grateful to them, or write it in a letter or email. At the end of the day make a list of gratitude's in that day. If something challenging has happened see if you can turn it around and find something to be grateful for in the situation

IT’S FINALLY FRIDAY !!
And Happy Birthday to our Angel who will have a birthday on Sunday!
May the dear Lord bless you today and always!
I’ll be gone and won’t have a newsletter coming out on Sunday so I thought I’d say Happy Birthday early.
I am still waiting to see if the rain lets up before leaving for the campsite after work today. If it doesn’t I’ll go in the morning. As usual now for the camping season I won’t have a newsletter for you til Monday morning,
I do hope you all get that much needed R & R this weekend so that you’ll be relaxed, refreshed, renewed, revitalized, rested and restored !
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
TODAY’S TRIVIA
Today is
May Day, originally a festival in honor of Flora, the Roman goddess of spring, May Day has traditionally been a time to gather flowers and welcome warm weather. On this day, spring festivals and Maypoles are common. The Maypole is a tall pole that is covered with streamers, flowers and other decorations of spring. People grab hold of a streamer and dance around the pole to ward off ol’ man Winter for good. It is a way to shake the dreary winter blues once and for all. In the late 1800s, May Day also became a day to honor workers

ANOTHER TEN GOOD RULES:
Author Unknown
1. You should not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of all human activities.
2. You should not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.
3. You should not cross bridges before one comes to them, for no one yet has succeeded in accomplishing this.
4. You should face each problem as it comes. One can only handle one at a time anyway.
5. You should not take problems to bed with you, for they make very poor bedfellows.
6. You should not borrow other people's problems. They can better care for them than you can. 7. You should not try to relive yesterday for good or ill, it is forever gone. Concentrate on what is happening in your life and be happy now!
8. You should be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear ideas different from your own. It is hard to learn something new when you are talking, and some people do know more than you do.
9. You should not become "bogged down" by frustration, for 90% of it is rooted in self-pity and will only interfere with positive action.
10. You should count thy blessings, never overlooking the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to a big one.
Finally, give thanks to the Lord, from whom all blessings come.
TODAY’S REFLECTION
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you
John 14:27
If we find ourselves sidetracked and distracted all day, or for several days, it is easy to get right back on track by pausing, while doing almost anything, and asking our Lord to remind us of his constant presence.
I can escape the rush of daily activity and feel the quieting effects as serenity flows from the depths of my soul. Relaxing into the presence of God, I am both recharged and refreshed
I can experience this sacred moment at any time. Centered in the peace of God within my soul, I am calm and serene.

Beautiful entry! I haven't been by in awhile. You always cheer me up!
Love your thought for the day Ma. I am a person that never really wanted or desired to work outside my home. Home has always been where I have been most content. Sadly, I must work now as my Todd only has a very basic state pension and it is not enough to live on, but like your quote says . . . my heart is always left behind. Oh would that I could stay at home . . .
