ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR TUESDAY, JANUARY 7TH,2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!!

Today is International Programmers’s Day which celebrates the people who create the software behind our favorite websites, digital gadgets, appliances and vehicles. Programmers also known as developers of or software engineers, write the code that runs our computers. There are many different types of computer languages and most programmers specialize in one of them.
Although women hold only 25% of al profession IT jobs in the U.S. the first programmer in history was a British countess named Ada Lovelace. She was a mathmatician and wrote the first algorithm intended for a computer.
To celebrate the occasion, hug your favorite programmer, try your hand a coding, or read about all the amazing innovations that have come from programers.
Today is also Harlem Globetrotters Day and National Tempura Day.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
You may not think that programers are artists, but progrmining is an extremely creative profession. It’s logic based creativity.
John Romero
We do have a programmer in the family and that would be DS#3. That is who the pictures are of today. He developes programs for the company he works for. I’m proud of his ability and know he is a good worker. Not everyone can do that type of work. He has always been good at math and is more left brained like his Dad was.
I, on the other hand, I am more right brained and was never very good at anything but the simplest math. I’d know how to use my computer and that is about it. So I’m very thankful for those programers tht make life easier and more enjoyable for all of us.
I hope you all a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Whether you’re a programming prodigy or the office manager holding it all together, technology empowers small groups of passionate people with an astonishing degree of leverage to make the world a better place.
Justin Rosenstein
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7748. for programers and all the good work they do
7749.for DS#3 who is a programmer
7750. for my computer, it keeps me in touch
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Every day life is like programming. I guess. If you love something you can put beauty into it.
Donald Knuth
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

When I think about all the progrms available today, we all need to thank a programmer.
That's great that DDS#3 is a programmer! It is a gift I don't think I would have either! It is also a career that will be around for a very long time especially with how technology keeps changing!

I'm seriously in awe of programmers like your son who make our lives easier. Someone starts talking about coding and I can feel my eyes start to glaze. LOL.
I, too, am more right-brained and my math skills are practically non-existent. Isn't it wonderful how different folks strengths and weaknesses compliment one another.

My husband is trying to connect the new printer to his computer. I did fine with mine, but his has all sorts of hoops. We'll ask our son-in-law who will no doubt go zip-zap, tuh duh.
