ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR TUESDAY, JANUARY 21ST,2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A hug is like a boomerang - you get it back right away.
Bill Keane
I love to give and receive hugs, but don’t always get my daily quota since I live by myself, But I do try to make up for it when I’m in the company of others. They do make one feel good. Just in case you need one, here is a (((BIG HUG))) From me to all of you today It’s not quite as good as a real one, but will have to do for now. until I next see you.
We remain in the deep freeze here, it hasn’t gone above freezing for several days, but I do have an errand that will take me out again today. When I went to the office yesterday to pay my rent, they were closed for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday So we’ll try again today. I’m also out of bananas and donuts so I’ll stop at the store while I’m out. I have a good warm coat and it will keep me warm. Thankfully the snow has stopped and we only got about 4 inches of that white stuff all told. It was enough that I had to shovel a bit, so I did get some needed exercise. I like to keep my part of the driveway clear, but I do share it with two others that do not feel the same so the rest of it remains snowy and icy as you can see in the picture above.
Someone asked if my moblle home kept warm in the winter time and my answer is yes, but I have found that I have to keep the temp set at 72 degrees or above to prevent the pipes from freezing. It’ also is easy to cool in the summertime. Of course I have the huge tree in the yard that also gives me plenty of shade.
The picture below shows my newest grand puppy cuddling up with his step brother. Nice they get along so well.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
When the right person hugs you, it’s like medicine. I’m so grateful for those few people in my life who are good for my soul.

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

when it is cold outside there is nothing like a hug to warm you right up!
How cute with the pups snuggling together! I agree with you, Ma, if you can shovel your part out, it is always safer to do so to avoid slipping on the ice and snow. Be safe when you are out and about!

(((HUGS)))☺
What adorable pups! So glad Murphy didn't get his nose out of joint. :)
THANKS so much for the hug. I'm winging one right back your direction …..HERE!
Many, many years ago a young teenage girl at my church (who I didn't really know) started coming up to me and giving me a hug and said "I love you". She did that faithfully for a long time and let me tell you I came to love that you girl! It was a great lesson of the importance and power of hugs. Love your little place.
