ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, JANUARY 26TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Music is what feelings sound like
Author Unknown
I don’t keep up with the latest music artistS like I used too and don’t know who is in the running for any of the awards this year. But I listen to Country music more than any other. Although there are times that I prefer others. I depends on the mood Im in. So I guess I’d better watch to find out. Its good to keep up with what’s going on and I might learn about someone new.
Religious music and folk songs are another of my favorite types of music and I must say we have a wonderful music director at our church. Our choir is outstanding and while I don’t think they’ve won any awards, they are tops in my book.I love to listen to them sing.
Music is good for our bodies and our souls. Studies have shown that music can buoy our mood and fend off depression , it can improve blood flow in ways similar to statins, It Lowers our levels of stress related hormons like cortisones and ease pain. Listening to music is good and good for us. People like to listen to music while they are studying and when exercising. It can also help us to relax so we can go to sleep. Lullabies aren’t just for babies. There’s no doubt that music can make our lives better.
Our family doesn’t have many musicians in it but we do have several with wonderful voices that can sing beautiful songs. They are pictured in today’s post. Both of my sunshine boys have beautiful voices and so does our Angel, as also our Lucky guy who sings in a choir. I’m so very proud of all them for putting their talents to good use.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Music is God’s gift to man , the only art of Heaven given to earth, the only art of the earth we take to Heaven.
Walter Savage Landor
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7805.for music, it's good and good for us.

7807. for my Echo dot, Alexa will find any music I ask for.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY

Music can make a difference in our lives.
It is great you have singers in your family, Ma! I can't carry a tone, LOL :) I too haven't kept up with current music or musicians. I like to listen to a lot of praise music myself when I listen to music! I hope you have a great Sunday!
betty
I remember when I was young, our choir director had to BEG boys to come sing. How fortunate you've family who aren't too self-conscious!
We'll probably be watching the awards tonight - but like you, I won't know lots of the nominees. My tastes in music are all over the board. More often than not, I turn on 50's-60's easy listening or old Country. So excited to learn blog-pal at Simply Linda's BIL was the late-great Earl Thomas Conley.
If I've an unappealing household chore needing done I'm likely to crank up Fleetwood Mac or ABBA loudly. Ya, music has great powers to transform my moods.
Im just not much into music as I used to be
