ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, JANUARY 12TH,2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today I’m celebrating Make your Dreams Come True Day, one day early. It’s really on the calendar for tomorrow, but it’s a special day for all those following a dream. Today is the day to stop dreaming and start doing something to make your dream come true. It is not important what you do to chase your dream, but that you start doing it today. Because whatever your dreams are, they usually don’t come true without effort and hard work. So to celebrate today, get going and make your dreams come true.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
If you can dream it, you can do it.

It wasn’t exactly my dream to cme home to the Cleveland area yesterday, but the trip to Florida certainly was. It’s been o dream of mine for a long time to have all of my family together for Christmas and thanks to everyone chipping in for my ticket down and back we were able to do just that . With the exception of DS#3 and his family we were all together for a wonderful family Christmas celebration.
I left Florida with sunny skies and 80 degree weather there and arrived home to 42 degrees and rain. I got in yesterday afternoon and DD and her family picked me up from the airport. They wanted to take me out to dinner anyplace that I wanted to go. All that I could think of was that I wanted something warm and a bowl of chili sounded wonderful. So we went to Wendy's and got our dinner then came home and ate it together. Thankfully my house was warm and cozy. I had caught a chill while I was waiting to be picked up and really needed the warmth of the hot chilli and my home.
After they left, I sat down to watch some TV. I had thought the new series on PBS was to begin but I got the date wrong, it begins tonight at nine. I’m wasn't sure if I could be ready in time for church this morning. My body still feels like it is on vacation time. But I've made it there and back and have even enjoyed some lunch.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!!

Dreams can come true...
A bowl of chili sounds wonderful on a cold, damp day. As I recall, Wendy's makes some of the best. Have you ever enjoyed your chili with scrambled eggs? Tom makes a face when I mention it, but that was a 'thing' when I lived in Texas.
Aside from the blanket and your socks, this picture might be ME in my favorite position. :) Welcome home!
You did it! What a special Christmas! And as much as you enjoyed every minute of it - it was good to be back home! Chili truly hits the spot on a night like that! It’s cold in Texas tonight but not unbearably so. We have a weighted blanket and it is really heavy! However, it sure keeps us warm and cozy and helps with those crazy restless syndrome legs!
Glad you got back home safely, Ma, though I would imagine you are missing the warmth of Florida and being with your son and his family down there. Chili or any soup is a great way to warm up on cold winter days! I'm sure you'll settle back to your routine in a few days now that you are back in Ohio. May the weather be not too bad as you acclimate to it again!

THankful you were able to travel and have such a lovely time with your family. AND that the chili did the trick to bring you back to health! xx
So glad you were able to be with your family and had a great time. That is a huge weather change and hope that chili did the trick.
