ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR MONDAY, JANUARY 6TH,2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Three Kings Day or Epiphany which is a Christian holiday that commiserates the biblical story of the three kings— Melchior, Caspar, and Balthaszar. The three kings also known as Wise Men or Magi followed the bright star of Bethlehem to bring gifts to the Christ child.
It is also know as the Twelfth Day of Christmas when Christmas trees and decorations are taken down
Happy Three Kings Day!
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Oh star of wonder, star of night. Star with royal beauty brought Westward leading, still proceeding. Guide us to thy Perfect Light.
John Henry Hopkins, Jr.
This day was celebrated yesterday in our Church since Three Kings Day fell on a Monday this year, when we walked in they were singing We Three Kings inside. I’ve been able to celebrate not only 12 days of Christmas this year but 17 as I don’t go home until the 11th of January and then my Christmas will come to an end. I like the idea of Christmas lasting longer. It should not be just for one day.
I did get some other gifts this year besides the trip, which really was quite enough. They are shown in the pictures today. I got my new phone, which is wonderful and I got a new computer cover and keyboard cover that match. That is shown above. I learned to use a keyboard cover years ago when I spilled a cup of coffee and ruined my keyboard years ago, so I’ve kept it safely covered ever since.
I got a Florida mug , aTervis drinking cup and a selfie stick and also two wireless phone chargers. DD also got me some new T-shirts which I will enjoy wearing too. I didn’t get pictures of those) She also got me a Vera Bradly travel bag to put my toiletries in. It is plastic in case of spills too.
I will use it the next time I take a trip. And already, I’m looking forward to visiting DS#2 when Spring break comes.
I feel very pampered and spoiled. Thanks everyone !
I hope you all a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

This is my last week here and am going to try to enjoy it as much as possible
What thoughtful gifts! Never have I ever seen a keyboard like yours, but love the design on each key!
Here at my house I had plans to take down the tree (we always wait until Epiphany), but after Bible study this morning and a big lunch I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt to leave it up a little longer.
You got some great gifts, Ma! And even better you have something to look forward to with spring break and another trip!
