ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20TH,2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day which is a day to wear your tackiest ugly Christmas sweaters. Let your personal sense of fashion shine with a sweater emblazoned with Rudolphs face or a spirited Christmas Phrase - the more over the top, the better.
It’s the perfect day to kick off the season in style. Chevy Case is sometimes credited with starting the ugly Christmas sweater trend, thanks to his role in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. While the sweaters began to go out of fashion in the 1990’s, they surged back to popularity around 2001.
To celebrate , wear you favorite ugly sweater to the office, to the store or wherever today takes you.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The forecast for today is 100% chance of sweater weather.
I’m one who doesn’t think that Christmas sweaters are ever ugly. I have many that I wear this time of year. I think they are festive and fun to wear. If some want to think they’re ugly then they can think what they want, but for me, I’m showing off my Christmas spirit.
Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas! Jingle all the way.
One family Christmas we decided to have everyone wear their Christmas sweaters and the winner of our group was DS#6 who had attached Christmas garland to his sweater. He got a lot of laughs and the next Christmas he gave it away as a gift. I haven’t seen it since. Anyway that is what the pictures are of today.
Christmas is a time of fun and Joy for everyone!
I hope you have a FANTASTIC Friday!

with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!
Saw someone had an ugly sweater party on social media and the lady who won had gotten just a regular sweater and went to the dollar store and put ornaments on it, garland, etc. and it truly was "ugly" but she did win whatever the price was. Always fun to dress up in whatever holiday gear to bring smiles to people. Had an appointment at unemployment yesterday and one of the ladies at the reception counter was dressed up as a Christmas tree, another as a reindeer :)

That father-son photo is so fun! Way to think outside the box!
I've no Christmas sweaters (ugly or otherwise), and wasn't particularly interested in going out to spend $ on something I may wear only once or twice. Instead, for our Bible study luncheon I took a roll filament with battery powered tiny lights and strung it across my neck. Crazy. That day was 70* plus, so I felt a bit sorry for those in heavy sweaters.
I think all Christmas sweaters are cute, I bought one a few years ago but didn't wear it but once I gave it to charity while going through clothes I didn't need anymore. We have two cold days and three hot ones her in Alabama.A sweater isn't needed to often. Take care, Jean.
