ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10TH,2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.
11 DAYS UNTIL WINTER
15 Days Until CHRISTMAS
Sunrise: 7:43 am
Sunset: 4:58 pm
Life is a special occasion!!
Today is Human Rights Day whih was adapted by the United Nations General Assembly on December 10, 1948. Human rights Day is observed to remind all individuals to honor and stand up for their basic human rights, no matter your location or circumstances.
While the Declaration is not legally binding, it is still an ever important document and it is highly influentia in international law. To celebrate, spend a few minutes learning about your human rights as a world citizen and tell someone about the importance of our fundamental rights.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Human rights are not a privilege conferred by government. They are every human beings entitlement by virtue of his humanity
We all have rights to live a decent life, to have food, clothing and shelter. Some are unfortunate and don’t, so it’s up to us to see that they do. Every little bit that can be done to help another is always a good thing. Hard as it is to believe, there are still starving and homeless people in this world.
Circumstances have brought them low. Whether it’s a job or the fact that they cannot grow their own food, there is always a way to help. More than not my help comes in a form of prayer. Donating to food banks is another. My cupboards are full and some of it could be used to help another.
This time of year there are a lot of requests for help. Coats and blankets are also needed due to the weather. I am blessed and have more than I need so I could share my abundance.
The bell ringers are now out in Front of Stores and it doesn’t take much to help. Some loose change here and there does add up.And I’m very thankful for their service in helping others.
Let us remember that baby Jesus was layed in a manger of straw as there was no room at the inn and try to help all that have no shelter to call home.
Today’s pictures are of my nativity scene.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Human rights are inscribed in the hearts of people, they were there long before lawmakers drafted their first proclamation.
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
