ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11TH,2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is International Mountain Day which was designated in 2001 by the United Nations General Assembly to create awareness about the important role that mountainous regions play in the global ecosystem . Mountains are essential to the worlds fresh water supply They also safeguard many natural resources and protect communities against natural disasters.
The symbol for this holiday consists of the equilateral triangles on a single horizontal line. The left triangle has a blue diamond shoe at the top, representing ice and snow on mountain peaks. The middle triangle has an orange circle, representing the resources tht are continuously mined from inside mountains. The triangle on the right has a small green triangle at it’s base , representing the crops that grown on muntains.
This day aims to raise awareness of the relevance of mountain forests and the role they play within a Green Economy as well as in climate change adaptation measures.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The mountains are calling and I must go.
John Muir
The only mountains I’m familiar with are the Appalachian Mountains in West Virgina and that is because I used to visit my maternal grandparents there. That is what the pictures are of today. They lived in a pretty valley surround by the hills. I’vs shown the pictures before but it’s such a pretty place I hope you won’t mind seeing them again.
Metaphorically speaking, we all have our mountains to climb as we go through life. Some are steeper than others. They are the obstacles we must conquer to reach new heights.
Mountains do offer plenty of benefits to human life. These majestic land masses provide recreation for humans, are a source of fresh water and they also have lots of health benefits. Besides mounts provide a unique habituat for animals and vegetation. They also effect global and local weather and climate.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Let no mountain be high enough to climb.
I did enjoy the pictures of the mountains, Ma! I have seen several mountain ranges and drove through some like the Rocky Mountains. They are all so majestic looking, no matter how tall they might be!

Mountains form a ring around us, and they are amazing.
Ain't no mountain high enough.
I don't recall ever having visited the Appalachians, but your photos are sure pretty. Having grown up in the Rocky Mountains, I still prefer mountains to beaches. But! From however one looks at it, we've a pretty spectacular country in which to live.
