ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR MONDAY, DECEMBER 30TH,2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Bircarbonaate of Soda Day which is commonly called baking soda and is used in baking, cooking, deoderiingcleaning, polishing and countless other applications.
The ancient Egyptians used natural deposits of sodium bicarbonate as s cleaning angent like soap., but it wasn’t until 1791 that the French chemist Nicolas Leblanc produced sodium bicarbonate in it’s modern form; in 1846 two New York bakers named John Dwight and Austin Church established the first factory to make baking soda.
Baking soda is a white, odorless, crystalline solid that is completely soluble in water. It is very useful around the home, the kitchen and for medical purposes Baking soda certainly deserves a whole day of celebration.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Baking is Life. So when you describe what you’re making, you must describe life. Do you see? It’s not just recipes.
Jerry Colgan
I use baking soda a lot and not just in baking, it makes everything smell fresher. Putting some in your white wash will make them cleaner. When I had babies I’d soak their diapers in it before washing them. Now nobody even uses real diapers any more.
But I still use it in the towels and it will freshen up your fridge when it needs a cleaning out.
And of course there is baking, nothing would rise without it.
Here we are going on an airboat ride in the everglades. It’s a another beautiful day so it should be fun. It’s a new experience for me.
I hope you all have a great start to this new week. Happy Monday1
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Baking is how you start kids at cooking in the kitchen.
Sandra Lee
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7730. for all the many uses of of baking soda
7731. for bakery, I do have a sweet tooth
7732. for another day to spend with my family
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Baking may be regarded as a science, but it’s the chemistry between the ingredients and the cook that gives desserts life. Baking is done out of love, to share with family and friends , to see them smile.
Anna Olson
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
