ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR MONDAY, DECEMBER 16TH,2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

It’s Chocolate Covered Anything Day which is a day for Chocoholics to rejoice Today is your opportunity to top everything you eat with chocolate. Indulge in chocolate covered waffles for breakfast, chocolate covered crepes for lunch, chocolate covered pretzels for a snack, and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. You can also get creative and experiment with more unusual dishes like beef tenderloin smothered in rosemary chocolate and wine sauce.
There are many different types of chocolate you can use to top your food: sweetened , unsweetened, bittersweet, milk chocolate, dark chocolate white chocolate, and more. Cacao beans the main ingredient in chocolate were so valuable in the ancient Mayan and Aztec civilizations that they were used as currency to pay for commodities and taxes.
To celebrate today, cover your food in chocolate and in the spirit of the season share some chocolate covered treats with family and friends!
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Anything is good if it’s made of chocolate.
Jo Brand
Like most of you, I love chocolate, and my favorite this time of year, is Chocolate covered cherries. It’s become a family tradition at my house passed on by my mom. She would give us a box of them every Christmas.
She didn’t make them and neither do I. They are available at most any store this time of year. And there is a choice of dark chocolate or milk chocolate covered cherries to choose from. I got a box of each. I prefer dark chocolate but many in my family prefer milk chocolate, so I get both. A box for me and a box for them.
They say that chocolate is good for us so I try to take a dose daily. It’s supposed to reduce high cholesterol. At the rate I’m going, I shouldn’t have to worry about that at all.
It’s a powerful source of Antioxidants, and may improve blood flow and lower Blood pressure. It may reduce heart disease and could improve brain function. Dark chocolate is the healthiest to eat. What’s not to like about chocolate.
It’s long been known that chocolate also contains positive mood altering ingredients too, that can boost our spirits. If you want to be happier, have a piece of chocolate or two. Just remember not to overdo it. Everything is good in moderation.
I hope you have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!

Chocolate is good and good for us !
We used to get chocolate covered cherries every Christmas. Haven't for a few years. Might have to get a box or two this season. I too enjoy my chocolate!

Ya, I've long heard that dark chocolate is supposed to be good for you. I don't normally indulge, but wouldn't turn down a piece of that white chocolate bark! Tom was happy that I brought him home a piece of Mississippi Mud Fudge from today's luncheon.
