ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Goodbyes always make my throat hurt… I need more hellos.
Charles Schulz
On this day 4 years ago we said Hello to this cute little Granddaughter of mine. And this past Saturday I got to go to the party given for her and her sister, our sweet sugar AB. That is what the pictures are of today!
I’m so thankful that every now and then I can actually join in on the fun of a birthday party. My grand children do warm my heart over and over for sure.
This is the last of our family’s November birthdays but it is not the end of the fun as we still have Thanksgiving to look forward to and DD has some thing fun planned too on the day after Thanksgiving. It seems that making snowmen is to be our future. And the good news is that we won’t need snow to make them but we will need an old sock!
It’s to be another windy day here at my house. Maybe the rest of those leaves will finally fall ! We’ll see...
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s Gingerbread Cookie Day
This spicy cookie is usually for making gingerbread people and gingerbread houses but today’s recipe is not a cookie recipe but a recipe that uses Gingersnaps as part of the ingredients.
Pumpkin Cheesecake Trifle
1 package ginger snap cookies
12 oz cream cheese softened
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
1 cup sugar
3 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 pint whipping cream
1 cup powdered sugar
Crush ginger snap cookies into medium sized pieces.
For Pumpkin Cheesecake layer
Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add vanilla, pumpkin, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix until combined.
For Whipped Cream layer
Combine whipping cream and powdered sugar. Mix until stiff peaks form.
To Fill Trifle Bowl
Layer cookie pieces, then pumpkin cheesecake, then whipped cream until bowl is filled. Make sure whipped cream is the final layer. Top with cookie pieces and crumbs.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The story of life is quicker than the wink of an eye, the story of love is hello and goodbye...until we meet again
Jimi Hendrix
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5458. for our Cutie Patootie, it’s her birthday today
5459. for family fun, it’s always a good time when we can get together
5460. for pumpkin desserts, YUM!
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Each time a person passes by you and you say 'hello', imagine that person turning into a candle. The more positivity, love and light you reflect, the more light is mirrored your way. Sharing beautiful hellos is the quickest way to earn spiritual brownie points. You should start seeing hellos as small declarations of faith. Every time you say hello to a stranger, your heart acknowledges over and over again that we are all family.
Suzy Kassem
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

I enjoy practicing the 10/5 rule at work everyday ... neat to imagining them turning into candles!
