ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DDIL#1 TODAY!
Happy Birthday ♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ Happy Birthday ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ Happy Birthday to you♥ ♥ ♥
May the dear Lord bless you today and always!
Today is also Chicken Soup for the Soul Day. It's a celebration about you.
According to the creators of the book series of the same name, Chicken Soup for the Soul Day was created as a celebration of who you are, where you've been, where you're going, and who you will be thankful to when you get there!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
One of the greatest gifts
That life can give to anyone
Is the very special love that families share...
As years go by,
It's good to know that there will always be
Certain people in our lives who care.
For there are countless things
That only families have in common
And memories that no one else can make...
And these precious ties that bind a family together
Are bonds that time and distance cannot break.
How fortunate we are
When we have relatives to love us,
It makes the world a happy place to be...
Few gifts in life
Will last as long
Or touch the heart as deeply
As the very special gift
Of family.

Thankfully I was able to give this DIL her birthday card in person as I got to see her yesterday instead of sending it out in the mail as I usually would. But today is her special day so I’ll say once again - Happy Happy Birthday !
This past week was a busy one for me so today is definitely going to be a needed day of rest.
It’s only 2 weeks till Thanksgiving and there is lots to get done so this coming week should be busier than ever too.
We’re starting out the day with temps in the 20’s and have a chance of flurries but it’s to warm up in the 40’s so it will change to rain later on. Other than going off to church this morning, it’s going to be a great day to stay in and keep warm. It isn’t wintertime yet, but it certainly feels like it to me. It’s nice to have some pictures to share today that were taken in much sunnier and warmer weather.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s Pizza With The Works Except Anchovies Day
Pizza With The Works Except Anchovies Day came into existence from pure common sense. There’s a lot of people out there who will, foolishly and naively, choose to order their pizza with the works, never thinking for a moment that there’s a someone out there perfectly willing and capable of putting anchovies on a poor innocent pizza.
Because I like to do things the quick and easy way I like to make french bread pizzas. Pizza with the works can include pepperoni, sausage, green bell peppers, olives, mushrooms, and onions.
Easy Supreme French Bread Pizza
1 loaf French bread
3 T. butter, melted
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning
about 1/3 c. jarred marinara sauce
1 1/2 to 2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
about 15 pepperoni slices, halved
1/2 c. precooked sausage crumbles
1/2 of one small red onion, cut in slivers
8 to 10 small mushrooms, sliced
1/3 of a red bell pepper, chopped
chopped fresh parsley for garnish, optional
Cut French bread in half lengthwise and place cut side up on a baking sheet. Brush cut sides with melted butter all the way to the edges and sprinkle evenly with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Bake at 450degrees for 4 minutes or until just barely lightly browned on the edges.
Remove from the oven. Spread each piece of bread evenly with half the marinara sauce, then sprinkle on half the mozzarella cheese. Top each piece of bread evenly with half of the pepperoni, sausage, red onion, mushrooms, and red pepper. Sprinkle each with half of the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Return to 450 degree oven and bake for 6 to 8 minutes until cheese is melted. Remove from oven and slice into pieces using a sharp serrated knife.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
