ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Zero Tasking Day which is always the same day that Daylight Savings Time ends. The unofficial holiday encourages people to take it easy, give up multitasking for a day and do ‘0' tasks.
When daylight savings time changes, we are sometimes gifted with an imaginary extra hour, and zero tasking day encourages us to take the opportunity to use that hour for personal growth and relaxation.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
One today is worth two tomorrows.
Lost time is never found again.
Time is money.
Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that's the stuff that life is made of.
You may delay, but time will not.
Benjamin Franklin
I hope you all remembered to turn your clocks back an hour. Our mornings will be a little brighter now, at least for a few weeks, as it will be daylight an hour earlier. But it will also be dark an hour earlier too. Sunday’s are always a day of rest for me so this day will not be very different from any other. I try to recoup, refresh and relax on Sundays so I’m ready for the new week ahead.
I stayed overnight with two of my grand dogs as their family was away so this particular Sunday is just a little different. Dog watching is a treat for me because I love dogs but no longer have any of my own.
It’s a little warmer today with temps in the upper 60’s but that is to change once again with some rain storms that moved in and cooler weather will be returning for the week ahead.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Donut Appreciation Day.
Doughnuts are so good that they actually have 2 days, November 5th and the first Friday of every June. While today is just national doughnut appreciation day, National doughnut day was first started on June 7th in 1938 to celebrate the soldiers of WW1. The salvation army set out tents for the solders to get doughnuts and coffee
It’s no secret that I love donuts so I’m willing and ready to celebrate this day by eating a donut or two. There are lots of recipes out there for homemade donuts, but my favorites are made by Entenmann’s and Krispy Kreme so I’m not sharing a recipe today. But definitely enjoyed my donuts.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
For today and its blessings, I owe the world an attitude of gratitude.
Clarence E. Hodges
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5410. for a day to rest and relax
5411. for donuts, a favorite of mine
5412. for grand dogs, always loving
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Man must not allow the clock and the calendar to blind him to the fact that each moment of his life is a miracle and a mystery.
H. G. Wells
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

I haven't had a donut in a few years, but always an enjoyable treat. I bet you did enjoy watching over your grand dogs; always fun to be around furry creatures like that!
betty
I think I did a good job of celebrating Zero tasking day today! I didn't do much of anything!
