ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

May the dear Lord bless you today and always !
Today is also International Men's Day which focuses on improving men's health, and highlighting positive male role models. It is an occasion to celebrate their achievements and contributions, in particular for their contributions to community, family, marriage, and child care.
The theme of this year’s men’s day is health, more specifically, Helping Men and Boys Live Longer, Happier, and Healthier Lives. We can’t argue with that!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Mischief, giggles, fun and love
that’s what little boys are made of !
This cute little grandson, our little Lad, has a birthday today but I won’t be able to be with him and celebrate today. It's another long distance birthday for me but a card has been sent in the mail wishing him a very Happy Birthday!
November is full of celebrations for our family and there is still one more birthday to come. I’m so very thankful for my wonderful large family. They give me so much happiness!
The picture above was taken last Thanksgiving.
Our weather changed from rainy to windy with a chance of snow showers today. It’s supposed to be a day to hold on to your hat so it doesn’t blow away. The wind also makes it seem much colder than it really is so I’ll be bundling up when I make my way to church today.
I always feel like I gain 10 pounds more this time of year due to all the layers of clothing I put on just to keep warm. I cannot seem to keep warm and the wind feels like it blows right threw you.
More and more I’ll be staying inside where it’s warm and cosy.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Carbonated Beverage with Caffeine Day
Some people cannot have caffeine due to medical reasons, some choose to avoid caffeine for their own reasons and then there are the millions of people who like their caffeine very much. The same is true with the carbonation in beverages. Today’s celebration combines the two of them together.
Coffee and tea are the primary sources of caffeine. It is also a common ingredient of soft drinks and energy drinks. One of the best known carbonated beverages with caffeine is cola. It originally contained caffeine from the fruit of the kola tree, the kola nut. Most colas now use other caffeinating ingredients. Different cola brands have different caffeine content.
If it's the caffeine that attracts you to soda, there's some great alternatives as well. I found this recipe for a soda substitute to try out.
Black and green tea typically have more caffeine than soda and both are great alternatives since they come packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
This mix provides a caffeinated, sweet, and refreshing supplement to a can of boring old soda.
2/3 cup unsweetened black tea,
1/6 cup limeade or lemonade,
and 1/6 cup orange juice.
It would be very refreshing substitute

that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen

Happy birthday Little Lad. Good looking young man, along with his siblings. It was always hard for me to get warm when we lived in Montana, that is why I don't being warm here in Phoenix.

I am one of the millions who loves my caffeine. I am sipping my second cup of coffee right now. Yesterday was really windy here. And colder. But we are still in the 50's during the day. I don't like winter at all either. I will be staying home more. Heck, I already stay home all the time!! Happy Sunday Ma!
Happy Birthday to your handsome Little Lad!
I'm a caffeine lover, as well ... but had to stop drinking carbonated beverages years ago. 'Trying to convince DH to stop/slow down, as well, or I'd have shared this post with him.
Thanksgiving Day is predicted to be 88-degrees down here. Normally I'd be complaining, but last week in Alabama? The actual temps weren't so low, but the humidity had me chilled to the bone, walking around with a quilt. What I whuss I've become!
