People use this day to get in touch with family, friends and loved ones, especially those who we haven't seen in a while. This day is intended to remember the living. But, some people have used it to memorialize a loved one who is no longer with us.

I always try to keep in touch with those I love. For years now I’ve sent out this daily post to all my friends and family. You all are never forgotten by any means.
Relationships will wither away if they are neglected, so we should always make the time to nurture them when we can. Someday we will be just a memory to some people so we have to do our best to be a great one.
Life is short so it’s good to tell the important people in lives just how much they mean to us as often as we can.
Today is supposed to be a cold one here in my neighborhood. We’ll be fortunate if we rise above the freezing mark. It’s a good day for me to keep cozy and warm here at home and thankfully I have plenty to do to keep me busy.

It's National Vanilla Cupcake Day!
Vanilla cupcakes are a delightful treat that can be found at children’s birthday parties, weddings, and everywhere in between.Vanilla cupcakes are a delicious dessert for people of all ages to enjoy. Cupcakes are called fairy cakes in England. The name is inspired by the idea that the miniature cakes are the perfect size for a party of fairies to enjoy.
Ultimate Vanilla Cupcake
1 1/4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 1/2 teasp. baking powder
Frosting
1/4 cup butter, softened
2 teasp vanila
3 cups confectioners’ sugar
4 to 5 teaspoons milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. for the cupcakes, beat all ingredients in a large bowl with mixer on low speed. Then beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Spoon into 12 paper lined muffin cu[s
Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center of cupcake comes out with moist cramps. Cool in pan 5 minutes then remove from pan and cool completely
For the frosting, beat butter and vanilla in a large bowl till light and fluffy. Gradually add confectioners’ sugar, beating well after each addition. Beat in milk till light and fluffy. Frost cooled cupcakes.

It is good to spend time with those we love and to make contact with them. It is so easy these days with how busy we can be to forget to nurture those friendships. Brrr with the weather at your place. I think we are due for the mid 80s.
