ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is May Day which celebrated around the world and it has a number of meanings. In many other countries it is a celebration of spring and the coming of summer. It is celebrated with many spring flowers, many of them blooming right in your own backyard.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The world's favorite season is the spring.
All things seem possible in May.
Edwin Way Teale
When I was a young child dancing around the May Pole which was decorated with streamers and flowers was a popular thing to do. In school we’d also make paper flower bouquets to take home to celebrate the day.
I’m not sure if any of that is done anymore, but May certainly is the month of flowers. After 6 months of rather blah weather and gray days, it’s wonderful to see our part of the world burst out in bloom.
Our temps will be returning to the 70’s today and they say the rest of the week will be in the 50’s. Still lots of rain coming our way too. Some parts of our country are suffering draught conditions so we can be thankful we are not.
Not having many flowers in my life right now today’s pictures are of those I’ve received since I moved. The one hanging on my fridge was painted by our little Lucky Guy. I think he’s a budding artist!
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!

ADVICE FOR TODAY
The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you.

I just can't believe we are in May already! I do agree your Little Guy is a budding artist! Great flower he did.

I am loving my tulips and dogwood tree, I wish I could share them with you. Little Lucky Guy is certainly an artist and I saved and pinned his Art on pinterest, where others can see it too. Happy May 1.
You are so lucky to have a wonder family and the lucky little guy is going to be a great artist. Love your flowers. Take care. Jean
Aha ... I was wondering if a grand hadn't created that great flower on your fridge!
I recall my parents talking about May pole streamers but never saw one in person. Instead, my dad would bring home several pieces of sturdy brightly-colored construction paper. We'd fashion them into cones that I'd fill with wild flowers (and probably a few dandelions) ... hang them on our neighbors' doorsteps, ring the bell ... and run like crazy! :) (I hadn't thought of that in years and years!)
Oh my goodness. May already! I remember making May baskets and hanging them on neighbors doors knocking and running to hide!!
