ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is International Tiara Day which is a reminder that we don’t need an excuse to sport a sparkly tiara for the day and go out on the town. Every one deserves to feel special and adored. It just so happens to also fall on Queen Victoria’s Birthday!
One thing that’s emphasized is that the Tiara in question doesn’t need to be a literal tiara, it can just as easily be your own sense of self worth and pride shining forth. It’s a day to do whatever makes you feel like a Queen and wear your tiara with pride.
Let your inner princess shine!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Behaving like a princess is work. It's not just about looking beautiful or wearing a crown. It's more about how you are inside.
Julie Andrews
There is no doubt about it ! You are all wonderful and very special to me. Not only all the princesses in my life but the prince’s too. The good Lord created each and every one of us unique and wonderful. I could go on for hours and hours telling each one of you just how special you are, but will limit my self and just say you all are very SPECIAL!
So far this week it’s been pretty quiet around here. Monday I was able to get the floors swept. Every room is carpeted here but the kitchen and bath. Yesterday I got the grass cut and today I’m hoping to get the laundry done and do some dusting. I never get house cleaning all done in one day, but little by little it gets done. I lead a simple life, but it works for me.
It’s to be a rainy day here at my house and it’s looking like this coming Memorial Day weekend might have a wet day or two. I may be dining on the patio instead of going for a picnic in the park. We’ll see...
The pictures today are from a princess and pirate party some of my grandchildren attended. The little girls loved dressing up as princesses.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It's National Escargot Day. Let's go out and eat some snails. It's considered a delicacy by some. For many others, the thought of feasting on snails is just too yucky and I’m one of those.
I like to think there is not much that I don’t like to eat, but escargot is one thing I’ve never tried. I might like it, if I tried it, but for now I think I’ll pass.
I do have a cute little decorative snail that sets on the patio that makes me smile.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
My crown is called content, a crown that seldom kings enjoy.
William Shakespeare
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
4918. for all the very special people in my life
4919. for a house to clean
4920. for a washer and a dryer, luxuries indeed
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY

I like your kitchen. It looks bright. What a fun party for your grandchildren to go to. I do a little house cleaning every day, easier to keep up with that way.
