ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Sorry Charlie Day which is for all of those who have been rejected, and yet somehow survived it. Celebrate this day by taking a minute to remember a past rejection. After doing this, be happy und realize the fact, that this happens to all of us.
The important thing to remember is how you have bounced back and what you have learned from all those rejections.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Don't waste yourself in rejection, nor bark against the bad, but chant the beauty of the good.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
No one goes out of their way to be rejected, but it's an inevitable part of life that we all must deal with at one time or another. Rejection means something different to every person who has ever experienced it. Whether it is rejection from a college, rejection in school, rejection by a friend or crush, the feeling is something we hope and pray will never strike again.
Rejection is a part of living. You need it to amount to the person you are or will become some day. It is a part of growing up and facing the real world.
It never gets easier to deal with, but you learn how to deal with it. You become stronger from that experience that at one time made you feel so weak. You learn to take the world for what it is and by doing so you better yourself. Never dwell on what could have happened or what would have happened, because that is not a way to live. Instead, dwell on the moments that have made you feel joy and laughter.
I received the I’m Sorry Charlie notice from my realtor yesterday. The buyers loan was rejected and so the house sale is a no go. It’s back on the market again and we’re hopeful it won’t take long at all to sell.
It’s was not good news at all, but I’m going to try and dwell on only positive thoughts and the best way to do that is to count your blessings every day and be thankful for them. You cannot be sad at the same time your are thankful!
The robins seem to be enjoying the wet weather we’ve been having and I happened to spot one yesterday in my front yard. He's in the picture above. Their song always reminds me to cheer up, cheer up!
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Caramel Popcorn Day!
Here’s an easy recipe if you’d like to make your own.
1, 11oz pkg. Caramels
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 Tbsp. water
10 cups air popped popcorn
1 cup Cocktail Peanuts
Heat oven to 300 degrees. Spray large baking sheet with cooking spray.
Cook caramels, butter and water in large saucepan on low heat until caramels are melted, stirring frequently.
Combine popcorn and nuts in large bowl. Add caramel mixture; toss to coat. Spread onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake 20 min., stirring after 10 min. Spoon onto sheet of waxed paper; cool completely. Break into clusters.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
We keep going back, stronger, not weaker, because we will not allow rejection to beat us down. It will only strengthen our resolve. To be successful there is no other way.
Earl G. Graves
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
4795. for happy joyful times that chase the blues away
4796. for popcorn, always a great snack
4797. for robins, they sing cheer up, cheer up
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Don’t worry about the rejections. Everybody that’s good has gone through it. Don’t let it matter if your works are not accepted at once. The better or more personal you are the less likely they are of acceptance.
Robert Henri
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Sorry to hear about the house sell not going through, Ma. I do hope it sells quickly. It is spring, so maybe more people are in the market looking for houses. Hopefully the next sell will go smoothly.

Oh dang! One of my favorite mantras goes something like, "Until God opens the next door, praise him in the hallway."
I'll never forget, age 19, being rejected for a job I desperately wanted. While my qualifications were solid, I later learned it was because I wouldn't make eye contact.
What a GIFT, to force me to step outside my shyness!
