ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today we celebrate World Book Night which is about honoring the joy of reading. Nothing quite matches the enjoyment that comes from losing oneself in a good book.
But, with so many people having lost the habit of reading for pleasure, this event provides an opportunity for book lovers to share with others the enjoyment literature provides.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A good book on your shelf is a friend that turns its back on you and remains a friend.

There is no doubt about it I do enjoy reading and have for as long as I’ve been able to read. Books have opened doors that were otherwise closed to me. From information to enjoyment, they've provide hours and hours of pleasure.
Yesterday we had our family Easter gathering and that is what the pictures are of today. And thankfully the weather was nice so we got to do the annual Easter Egg hunt. There was lots of fun family time and lots of good food too. A big thank you for DS#3 and his wife for hosting a wonderful get together.
Today I’ll be off to church and then home for a day of rest. It’s to be on the sunny side and hopefully I’ll be able to get out and enjoy some of that too.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
The worth of a book is to be measured by what you can carry away from it.

Happy you were able to celebrate your Easter with your family!
It will be pouring with rain here today but it will be sunny inside! We will be celebrating my DAd's 90th birthday! (It is really on the Monday, but like you, we have to have our family celebrations when we can!) xx
Looked like a fun celebration! Glad the weather cooperated so all could enjoy the egg hunt. I love reading too, especially a book that is so good it is hard to put down. I hope it is a restful day for you, Ma.

Your sweet grands are getting so big!
So glad Mother Nature put on her best for everyone's enjoyment.
There's much to be done over here, but I'm going to give myself permission to kick back and relax with a book of my own today.
