ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Reconciliation Day which is a special day to patch relationships and to make amends. It's intention is to reestablish relationships between family, friends and couples. Life is too short to hold a grudge between those we love.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Life is too short. Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness. Laugh when you can. Apologize when you should and let go of what you can. Take chances. Give everything and have no regrets. Life is too short to be unhappy. You have to take the good with the bad. Smile when you're sad. Love what you got and always remember what you had. Always forgive but never forget. Learn from your mistakes but never regret. People change and things go wrong. but always remember, life goes on.

One thing I know for sure…maybe two, is that life is truly too short to hold a grudge and it’s never too soon to tell someone just how much you love them. The days are too short even for love; how can there be enough time for quarreling. Holding a grudge can consume us with hatred, blocking out all enjoyment of life. Life is too short to be anything but happy!
DDIL#1 has kindly given updates on my son’s progress each day since surgery and he has shown continued improvement each day. Thanks to the good Lord for his many blessings.
My Saturday was pretty much a day of rest and today looks to be another one. I guess I’m catching up after a very busy month of non stop chaos. Midway through the day the sun did come out and we have chance that today we’ll see some more. My goodness but we do need it.
I’m waking up slowly, sipping the good coffee and will be off to church a little later on. They say a Sunday well spent will bring a week of content.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN

COUNTING MY GIFTS
Forgiveness is a funny thing. It warms the heart and cools the sting.
William Arthur Ward
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
4783. for forgiveness, a gift we give ourselves
4784. for peanut butter, good and good for you
4785. for rest, it heals the body, spirit and mind
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !

Glad to hear your son is improving. Will continue to pray. Good you are taking some days to rest up, Ma. It will be good for your whole body, brain, and soul.

I am so pleased to read that your son is improving Pam. I continue to keep him in my prayers. I love the idea of a reconiliation day. As you know there are fractures in my family that are badly in need of reconciliation. I pray every day to that end. I am glad that you are getting rest. You have had a pretty stressful period what with one thing or another, the move, your son, your cold. Rest is good! That cake looks really, really good! I am going to put it on my to bake list! Thank you. Peanut Butter and jelly is my favourite combination! God bless you and thanks for all that you share with us so generously. xoxo
Thanking God for DS#1's improvements!
I once tried making a peanut-butter-and-jelly omelet. As one might expect, it sounded better than it tasted. I'm not a big fan of jelly, but this reminds me to add it to my shopping list for DH.
PS -
Your topic of reconciliation has just given me the "a-ok" to post something that's been on my mind a while now. Thanks, Ma!
