ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Yesterday was Take a Chance Day which is a holiday I didn’t want to forget to mention..
Life is filled with risks. To get what you want, sometimes you have to take a chance. So go ahead and take a chance. As they say, Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Celebrate your goals or dreams by taking a chance and getting started today!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Necessity is the mother of taking chances.
Mark Twain
Every day we get a chance to start over, to begin again and that is why I think it’s important to remember to take a chance.
We all know that there’s no such thing as safe and secure in the world any more. Nothing in life is guaranteed. The only constant is change.
Learn to be OK with the constant change by taking chances as often as possible. Yes, it’s tough but it makes for an awesome life!
Life is about trusting yourself and taking chances, losing and finding happiness, learning from experience, appreciating the memories, and realizing that every step is worth your while. But you’ve got to be willing to take each step. You’ve got to give yourself a fair chance.
Never put off or give up on something that’s important to you, not because you still have tomorrow to start or try again, but because you may not have tomorrow at all. Life is shorter than it sometimes seems. Make today count. Take just one small step a day.
Approach the start of every day with one little goal and end the day with one little word - done. Take chances and trust that God is at your side as you go.
The pictures today are of a family outing one day last week. We took advantage of a beautiful day to spend time together outdoors.
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
Today is Pig in a Blanket Day which is a day to eat a sausage wrapped in a pancake because that's what Pig in a Blanket is.
This delicious finger food is popular with kids and cocktail party guests all across the world. In fact, there are many unique twists on this comfort food classic.
Simply wrap each pancake around a sausage; place seam side down on serving platter. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with maple syrup for dipping.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Take a chance! All life is a chance. The man who goes farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare.
Dale Carnegie
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
4828. for chances, they are always available
4829. for pancakes and sausage, a delicious treat
4830. for a new week filled with wonderful possibilities
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
We’re given second chances everyday of our life. We don’t usually take them, but they’re there for the taking.
Andrew M. Greeley
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Looked like such a fun outing! I am not one to take too many chances, but I know with life there are changes that do come alomg. Going with them Iinstead of against them is the best way to try to live.

I've always been such a 'color inside the lines' sort ... loathe to take chances. Perhaps on a small scale, envisioning God walking alongside, it couldn't hurt.
Tom makes his 'pigs' recipe using Pillsbury crescent rolls, dipped in mustard and mayo. Yum!
Love your DIL's 'ShipLac' shirt!
