30 DAYS UNTIL SPRING

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is National Battery Day, which is an opportunity to celebrate a vital invention. Batteries are used everywhere, from smoke alarms to headsets. They come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and power capacity, to fit a wide array of needs.
Just imagine where the world would be without batteries. We'd still be using a crank to start our automobiles. We'd have to cart around long extension cords to bring the boombox to the beach. And, forget about hand held games. They'd never be popular tied to an electrical outlet.
Yesiree, batteries are electrifying!
Today is a good time to appreciate the power of batteries in our everyday life.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Sometimes the best way to recharge our batteries is to unplug them.

There is no doubt about it. I do appreciate having batteries to use. One of the biggest is probably my car battery. I’m thankful that it works when I go out to start my car. I haven’t driven much lately and I’m thinking today might be the day to get out and recharge my battery. I need to take a little drive now and then to do so.
Just like my car battery needs recharging, I’m thinking I need a little recharging too. My get up and go, got up and went and I’d love to have it back.
They say today is supposed to be mostly sunny and that should perk things up a bit for all of us. After so many cloudy gray days, sunshine and blue skies sounds wonderful. I hope it helps recharge my batteries !
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday !

3601. for batteries, always appreciated
3602. for sunshine, badly needed
3603. for laughter, always good medicine
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Rest when you're weary. Refresh and renew yourself, your body, your mind, your spirit. Then get back to work.

A bit of love from someone dear…

My car battery is the same; I rarely drive these days so we have to make the effort to take my van out every so often to recharge the battery. There have been times it won't start and then we have to jump start the car. But I do agree, batteries are wonderful inventions!

Oh, I have to tell you this story, it was in our local paper this past week...
Several young children were taken shopping during the "Cop With A Shop" for Christmas presents. (You have this, don't you, where policeman take children who are needy into shops and buy them presents?) One of the children chose his toys but then, one of the cops noticed him putting some of them back. "Why are you putting those back?" He asked him. "Because, these need batteries and I need to make sure that there is enough money for them". !!!
Of course, the hero policeman told him not to worry about that, you can bet he let him get all the toys and the policeman paid the extra for the batteries!
In fact, this same law enforcement officer did something this past Halloween...if you look up NATHAN BRADLEY and Georgia State Patrol and parents die in car accident, you will see what he did for the kids left behind. Oh dear, I need to do a post, don't I?
Where would we be without batteries. There are a lot of things in my home which need batteries, from remotes to music players to flashlights and so much more. I can remember buying the children toys when they were young only to discover afterwards that they needed a ton of batteries to operate. A remote control fire engine comes to my immediate mind. That was a bit of a pain! Hope you re having a lovely Friday! God bless you! xoxo
