43 DAYS UNTIL SPRING
Sunrise: 7:37 am
Sunset: 5:49 pm
Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is National Weatherman's Day, which honors weathermen, and woman who work hard to accurately predict the often fickle weather. Despite major technological advances and supercomputers, forecasting the weather is still a tricky, and ever changing business.
Knowing the weather is important in so many ways. It affect how we dress, where we go, and even if we go. Knowing the weather can save lives. The most obvious example is knowing when and where hurricanes or tornados may hit.
According to the Air Force News, Weatherman's Day commemorates the birth of John Jeffries, one of America's first weathermen. Jeffries was born on Feb 5, 1744. He kept weather records from 1774 to 1816.
If you see a weatherman today, give them your appreciation for a job well done.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
On cable TV they have a weather channel — 24 hours of weather. We had something like that where I grew up. We called it a window.
Dan Spencer
It seems the weather is an important factor in all of our lives. There’s not a day goes by but that I check to see what the weather will be. It’s an important factor in what we wear, what we do and where we’ll go. The weather is very important to famers and it effects they way they grow their crops.
Based on weather monitoring and recording conditions that lead up to a hurricane or tornado and other potentially disastrous weather, they are able to predict when an area might be hit with such phenomena. The further ahead we know about these conditions, the more time people have to prepare their homes and property or even evacuate.
I am very thankful for our weathermen that keep us in the know. After a colder day yesterday today we’ll warm up into the 40’s. It looks like a great day ahead!
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Whether the weather be fine,
Whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold,
Whether the weather be hot,
We’ll weather the weather,
Whatever the whether,
Whether we like it or not

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Don’t knock the weather; nine-tenths of the people couldn’t start a conversation if it didn’t change once in a while.
Kin Hubbard
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

So glad we do have weather people that forecast what is in store for us weather wise. I know we consult it a lot to see what the temps will be, rain or snow, etc. For fun we have on hubby's phone the weather from various cities we have lived in and of course where we are living now and then we compare what the weather is like basically across the country. We even threw in Nome, Alaska, although we have never lived there, but just to see what its weather does through the year. It is fun to see that sometimes here we are actually colder than they are there :)
