27 DAYS UNTIL SPRING
Sunrise: 7:17 am
Sunset: 6:09 pm
Think Spring !
Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Single Tasking Day. Research shows that multitasking is really inefficient. Trying to focus on and hop between multiple tasks dilutes focus, introduces delays, and makes things take longer to complete. Single Tasking Day, then, is about embracing one and only one task. Make a list, put it in order of priority, and get started on a task and ignore everything else until you finish it!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Your most important tasks and priorities are those that can have the most serious consequences, positive or negative, on your life or work. Focus on these above all.
Brian Tracy
While it isn’t always possible, I do better if I take one thing at a time and finish that before going on to the next thing on my to do list. There are times that I’ll start the wash and do other things in between loads. After all the washer and the dryer are doing the work. But for the most part I do much better taking things one at a time.
It’s important to focus on what’s really important, what really needs to be done, and let go of the rest. Whatever you’re doing, be fully present and also appreciate every aspect of it. I do appreciate a job when it is done.
Yesterday I spent some time putting my Valentines decorations away and got out a few things that remind me of Spring. And after church this morning my task today is going to be fixing our 3rd Sunday Dinner. Then I plan to relax and enjoy the evening. I’ll be taking each one step a time. These days my steps are slower! It takes most of the afternoon for me to fix dinner anymore.
I found this recipe online and hope to make it for dessert today
EASY BANANA CAKE
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 c. mashed bananas, 2 or3 med. ripe bananas
1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional
Mix together the yellow cake mix as directed on the package, except, stir 1/8 teaspoon baking soda into dry mix before adding liquid. Also, use 1/4 cup less water than package directions. To cake mix add mashed bananas and nuts if desired. Bake according to package directions.
It seems I always have some ripe bananas on hand.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
When you focus on being a blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance.
Joel Osteen
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3610. for my church, I’ve been going there for over 50 years now
3611. for a dinner to fix, I love sharing a meal with others
3612. for another mostly sunny day, our snow is pretty much a thing of the past for now
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
The direction of your focus is the direction your life will move. Let yourself move toward what is good, valuable, strong and true.
Ralph Marston
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

How neat Ma that you have been going to the same church for over 50 years! I think as young moms we especially learn to multi task or some jobs definitely requiring multi tasking like working at a fast food restaurant, but I do like these days to get one thing done too before moving on to something else. I usually schedule a chore a day except for Sundays too so that I don't have too much going on any particular day :)

I remember a time when multi-tasking was looked on as a virtue. Personally, I appreciate when I've time to focus on a single task or another person.
Unfortunately, at my workplace I'm not afforded the luxury of single-tasking (no-one does!) ... but it usually makes the day go faster!
