Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is No Brainer Day - now this day is for me! By definition, a No brainer, is dong something that is simple, easy, obvious, or totally logical. Therefore, today is the day for us to do all those no brainer tasks and activities. If a project requires thinking, study, or analysis of any kind, then its not the chore to do today.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
You control the outcome of your day. Choose happiness, it's a no brainer.

There is something soothing about doing things that take little concentration and for that reason I love folding the laundry and doing dishes. They don’t take much thought at all but gives us a great feeling of accomplishment when they are done.
Today is our little Lucky Guy’’s birthday party. Tomorrow is his actual birthday and I’ll be posting some pictures of him then. It’s supposed to be a sunny day and warmer with temps in the 40’s. Our snow will once again be melting away.
I have made some mac salad to take along to share. It’s a kids party so this will go well with the hot dogs that are on the menu. Hot dogs are one thing that all of my grandchildren seem to enjoy. There are lots of things we can make with hot dogs and I found a new to me recipe using them that I thought looked pretty good and it includes mac and cheese which is also one of their favorites!
MACARONI CHEESE HOT DOG CASSEROLE
1 lb. box macaroni , cooked
1 can Campbell's cheddar cheese soup
1 can Campbell's nacho cheese soup
2 c. half and half
2 tbsp. butter
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. chopped parsley, optional
1 small pkg. shredded cheddar or taco cheese
1 lb. hot dogs, cut into 2 inch slices
Combine cooked macaroni, cheddar and nacho cheese soup, half and half, butter, salt and pepper, parsley and mix well. Place in a greased large baking dish and top with shredded cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve hot.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.
G.K. Chesterton
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3628. for the soothing, no brainer days in life
3629. for hot dogs and mac and cheese, a favorite of kids
3630. for a party to go to, it's time to celebrate
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
One comes to believe whatever one repeats to oneself sufficiently often, whether the statement be true of false. It comes to be dominating thought in one's mind.
Robert Collier
It’s a no brainer !
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

haha, I love it, no brainer day. Everyone needs a no brainer day every now and then! That casserole sounds great. We dont' get cheddar cheese or nacho cheese soup over here though. Boo hoo! Have a great Saturday! Thanks for all you share! xo
Glad that its a No Brainer Day fell on a Saturday this year :) That sounds like a yummy recipe and I'm thinking it will be a big hit at the party! Hot dogs do seem like a favorite of all kids; glad too since they are easy to make :) Enjoy the party!

"No Brainer" day is a splendid idea! (Tho' in Phoenix, you'd think some drivers observe it every day! lol!)
You're right ... there's comfort to be found in the most simple, repetitive tasks.
