THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Be your own kind of beautiful !
I want to be an S.O.B., a spunky old broad. These are the ladies who live life to the fullest, regardless of their circumstances. They have learned to push forward, find humor and share their spirit with those around them. I believe that it is never too late to learn something new, try something different and strive for all that life has to offer. So I am going to remind myself to let go and laugh a little more each day
Instead of the normal food recipe I usually share, today’s recipe is one for Happiness. The recipe for happiness is fairly easy, and one that even those who are not good in the kitchen can put together and still achieve some great results.
Simply begin with one large scoop of love for yourself, add in a good measure of acceptance and goodwill, then sprinkle generously with equanimity. Combine all the ingredients and place in your heart until all the ingredients have been completely absorbed, then allow to permanently rest in each breath.
The weather here continues to be fairly warm for this time of year. Tomorrow we’ll see what the Groundhog has to say about winter.
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week and new month! Happy Monday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Time has a way of showing us what really matters.
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3550. for something new to learn every day
3551. for laughter, always the best medicine
3552. for the delightful winter temps we’re having
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

I think you are a Spunky Old Broad, Ma! You do tend to look for humor and joy and gratitude and love in everything you do and it does show in the words you share here :)
