HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
The last Friday of October is also known as Frankenstein Friday and celebrates the birth of Frankenstein and its creator. Frankenstein is one of the best known horror characters, dating back to the 1800's. We can't imagine the Halloween season without the presence of Frankenstein, lurking somewhere in it. Frankenstein was born in 1818 when Mary Wollenstonecraft Shelley, at the age of 21, wrote the story Frankenstein.
Happy Frankenstein Friday: A frightfully monstrous holiday!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
On Hallowe'en the thing you must do
Is pretend that nothing can frighten you
And if somethin' scares you and you want to run
Just let on like it's Hallowe'en fun.

Thankfully there really aren’t any monsters here at my house. But I do have a few monster cars that the grands like to play with. They are the ones with the huge wheels attached to a matchbox car.
The little Frankenstein pictured today is our little Lucky Guy and it was taken a few years ago. He was the cutest little monster I’ve ever seen. He’s grown a lot since then. The other pictures are of DS#5’s crew carving pumpkins this year.
It’s the last day of October and soon I’ll be decorating for Thanksgiving. I’ve a few ceramic Turkeys to put out for display and a table cloth with Turkeys on it for the table. That’s really about all, but it’ll take me awhile to put all the Halloween things away. We only had 33 trick or treaters last night. It was chilly out but it was dry.
The weather forecast says that we could see a mix of snow along with the rain we’re suppose to have today. Oh dear, I do not like that ’S’ word, but the weather happens whether I like it or not.
Hope you all have a Happy Halloween! Keep warm and be safe!
How do monsters tell their fortune?
They read the horrorscopes.
2ND WARNING

54 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS
If you do one thing, and one thing only, this year, do this: a holiday values check. Homing in on your family's values before the season starts lights the way to a celebration that's right for you.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Ghosts and Goblins, Spooks galore
Scary Witches at your door…….
Jack-O-Lanterns smiling bright
Wishing you a Happy Haunting Night!
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for 2 years and have now reached over 2000 gifts. On my way now to 3000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2177. for all the cute monsters in my life
2178. for blessed October days
2179. for some fresh ’spider’ cider
In a LARGE pitcher or punch bowl, combine apple cider, ginger ale, and lime slices.
Serve in tall glasses with plastic spiders and colorful silly straws.
Happy Halloween!
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
