HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEETHEART TODAY!
May the dear Lord bless you today and always!
I love you sweetheart!
May your heart be as light as a song. May each day bring you bright.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Celebrate the sweetness in life !
This is another one of my endless list of long distance birthdays to celebrate today, so I'm sending this sweet granddaughter hugs from afar. I miss you Sweetheart!
Looking at the times for the sunrise and sunsets, I see we now have more minutes of darkness than light in our days. More time spent indoors in the evenings with the lights turned on and less daylight always means that I tend to get into my hibernating mode…but I don't want to do that quite yet. There is much to be done before our nice weather fades away. And before old winter comes a knocking at the door.
One of the things I like to do in the fall is switch the ceiling fan blades to keep the heat circulating in the house. In summer, a ceiling fan adds a welcome, cooling breeze, but did you know your fan can help you stay warm in winter, too? Most ceiling fans include a reverse setting to draw cold air upward and redistribute warmer air downward around the edges of the room in cold weather. How to tell the difference? Look up! In summer, you'll want the fan's blades to run counter-clockwise for cooling; in winter, blades move clockwise to draw cold air upward.
I talked to one of my sons the other day and where he lives, it's still 90 degrees during the day. I think we only had ten 90 degree days the whole summer. I can quite imagine his fall is a lot different that it is here for us in Ohio.
I hope you all can do a little celebrating today and enjoy fall to the fullest! Have a happy Thursday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The nectar of life is sweet only when shared with others.
Adam Mickiewicz
I have counted at least 3 things I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1004. for our Sweetheart
1005. for a day to celebrate
1006. for pictures to share
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
Love is missing someone whenever you're apart, but somehow feeling warm inside because you're close in heart.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Happy birthday to your sweetheart! I love her curly hair!
I did notice these past few days we are getting more dark hours than light hours; soon we'll be changing the clocks back!
