For Saturday, November 14th, 2009
a pictorial journal
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
NOBEMBER 14TH, 2009
It's SATURDAY…
Here I am slowly waking up with my good cup of coffee and reviewing my lists this morning.
Some of the things on my list to do today are to…vacuum the floors, dust the furniture, do the laundry, and check my other list to see what I still need to get for our family meal next weekend.
It seems like November just began and here we are almost to Thanksgiving.
THINKING
November is the month when we remember all the things we are thankful for and the One that makes them possible
A Giving God
Praise and honor be yours, O God, because you are a generous God, who did not even stop short of giving your own Son. . .
John 3:16

1 cup unbleached flour
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

ATTIRE FOR TODAY
No it’s not April like it was in the picture above when DD and her hubby were hiding Easter eggs, but…
The weatherman on the news yesterday evening said that we were warmer here than in Raleigh North Carolina and Louisville Kentucky . What a really nice week we’ve had. Today should be in the 60’s but cloudy they say.
PRAYERS
Never stop praying for those you love
Thank you, God, for seeing us through eyes of love. Help us to see all people with your grace in our hearts
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
AROUND HOME
You can judge your age by the amount of pain you feel when you come in contact with a new idea
This is the final weekend before I have my family in for our Thanksgiving feast. It is always the Saturday before Thanksgiving so that they have time to visit with their other sides of the family.
I can remember DD trying to eat and enjoy 2 Thanksgiving dinners in one day and that is when we changed the date of our celebration. It works for me as now we all can take our time and enjoy the day together.
Sadly some of my family won’t be present. This year we’ll only about half us around the table. It is always so hard when distance and time keep us apart, but all of them are always in my thoughts and prayers for sure.
COUNTING THE DAYS
37 DAYS UNTIL WINTER !
41 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS
AND
153 DAYS UNTIL CAMPING SEASON BEGINS
Keep looking ON THE BRIGHT SIDE of things.
A little smile, a word of cheer, A bit of love from someone near…
