TODAY'S THOUGHT
The heart that loves is always young
Greek proverb
JUST FOR TODAY
We all need to look for the silver linings in our day-to-day lives
Believe in your fellow human beings. They are special people with special problems, different lives and backgrounds, different beliefs. Live by the golden rule, expressed in many different ways in other cultures and religions. That is basically - treat others the way you would like to be treated. A time proven way to feel better about our lives and the road ahead
TODAY’S QUOTE
It's faith in something and enthusiasm for something that makes life worth living
Oliver Wendell Holmes
IT’S TUESDAY !!
Monday is now a thing of the past and the week is moving right along. It’s Tuesday already. It was a sunny mild day yesterday and I think today will be the same. I did see there was a frost warning posted for overnight so I hope everyone’s gardens are ok. Many around here don’t plant til Memorial Day but sometimes we like to think mid-May is ok.
Our azalea bushes are full of buds and ready to bloom and very soon the little rose bush in the back will have blooms too. I think it has grown to 5 times the size it was when I first planted it. I saw a hummingbird at the campsite this past weekend, but I haven’t seen one at our feeders yet here at home.
Just two weeks now, until its Memorial Day and I always like to think that is the beginning of summertime. The swimming pools open and many college students are off for summer break. Of course summer doesn’t officially begin til the 21st of June. I’m going to enjoy it all to the fullest and soak up as much sunshine as I can.
Tuesdays are supposed to be terrific!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S SMILE
THE CROW
An old woman sat on the sofa at her house along with her 45 years old son.
Suddenly a crow perched on their window.
She asked her son what it was
The son told her that it was a crow
After a few minutes the old woman asked her son a 2nd time what it was.
The son said he’d just told her it was a crow.
After a little while the old woman asked her son a 3rd time – What is this?
At this time some of expression of irritation was felt by the son and he said with rebuff, it’s a crow, a crow!
After a little while the mother asked her son a 4th time – what is this?
This time the son shouted at his mother – Why do you keep asking me the same question over and over again although I have told you several times? Are you not able to understand?
After awhile the mother went to her room and came back with a tattered old diary. Opening a page, she asked her son to read the page.
When the son read the diary this is what was written on the page:
Today my little son, age 3, was sitting with me on the sofa when a crow was sitting on the window. My son asked me 23 times what it was and I replied to him 23 times that it was a crow. I hugged him lovingly each time and he asked me again and again. I did not at all feel irritated; I rather felt affection for my little child.
So… if your mother attains old age, do not repulse her and consider her a burden, but speak to her a gracious word. Be cool, obedient, humble and kind to her. Be considerate to your mother. Remember who she really is.

TODAY’S REFLECTIONWhoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me
John 14:21
Amid the chaos of modern life, it’s not surprising that many people are trying to simplify things
Jesus also uses the idea of simplicity in these words to his disciples.
He didn’t intend for the Christian life to be complicated. No matter how we look at it, it all boils down to loving God and loving our neighbor as ourselves.
TODAY’S ADVICE

I wish you could see the rhodendrons lining the little lane that rolls down from the main road to our cottage. They're spectacular right now!
