TODAY’S QUOTE
When all is said and done what matters to God is you!
From the late Fr.John O’Donovan
IT’S SUNDAY !!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our ‘Pretty Lady’ today!
May the dear Lord Bless You today and always!
It’s another Sunday morning here and as usual I’m enjoying the good cup of coffee. We got lots of snow here yesterday and may get a few flurries today but for the most part the storm is over for now. This coming week we may get more and we’ll also have temps go down close to 0 degrees. BrrrChill!
I don’t know if it is possible to add yet another layer of clothing. I already have 3 layers on most days. Then if I put my coat on I guess you could say I have 4.
We have a long way to go yet before winter is over.
Take good care all!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Father I hold tight to Your truth and trust You to work in my life
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me,
and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God,
and in God’s time all things will be made well.
TODAY’S TRIVIA
Step in a Puddle and Splash Your Friends Day
Despite extensive research, we did not find any factual information on this day. Step in a Puddle and Splash Your Friends Day is undoubtedly a day just for mischievous fun. After all, any kid knows that splashing and jumping into puddles is fun. And, when that results in splashing a friend, your joy is complete.
We sure would like to find the creators of this day. This day is held in mid January when many puddles are frozen!
Note: We don't encourage you to splash your friends; we're just reporting and describing the day

TODAY’S SMILE
Say what you mean, mean what you say,
but don't say it mean
A credit manager became worried when he studied a list of people with accounts past due. Even more, they were no longer active buyers. The man decided on a unique approach. He sent all of them a bill for more than double the amount they owed! As you guessed, the plan produced an amazing response. People who had paid no attention to the "correct" bills the store had been sending, were now highly upset.
By phone and in person they demanded an explanation from the credit department. It worked. The department had a chance to apologize for the mistake - and at the same time worked out arrangements for them to pay the "lower:" amount they actually owed

A guy gets up really early in the morning to go ice fishing.
TODAY’S WORD
fastidious \fa-STID-ee-uhs\, adjective:
hard to please; extremely refined or critical
"full of pride," from Latin fastidiosus "disdainful, squeamish, exacting," from fastidium "loathing," most likely from fastu-taidiom, a compound of fastus "contempt, arrogance" and tædium "aversion, disgust." The meaning "squeamish, over-nice" emerged in England by 1612
TODAY’S REFLECTION
If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17
It’s not surprising that we want to change the things in our lives that we’re unhappy about—even though most New Year’s resolutions are kept for no more than 3 weeks.
What if you were to ask God what He wants you to change, improve, or begin this year? He might tell you to:
Demonstrate more of the fruit of the Spirit in your life, which is “love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Gal. 5:22-23).
Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who . . . persecute you (Matt. 5:44).
Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15).
Be content with such things as you have (Heb. 13:5).
Walk according to His commandments (2 John 1:6).
As believers and new creations, we can be free from old patterns and failures. We must ask God to help us live each day in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Resolutions are easier to keep when you rely on God
