TODAY'S THOUGHT
Life is what we make it. Always has been. Always will be
Grandma Moses
TODAY’S ACTION
Look around you for the opportunity to extend your hand,
your time, your love. It is there
TODAY’S QUOTE
Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand and melting like a snowflake.

IT’S SUPER SATURDAY !!
It is absolutely grand to be sitting here this morning and sipping the good hot coffee. I’m so thankful that I do not have to go out in the cold. This week has been way too cold. My old body just couldn’t warm up. The good news is that we will finally get out of the minus degrees and go up to around 20 degrees today.
One of my friends also mentioned that the days are getting longer too. We really are getting more daylight each day and will continue to do so until Summer arrives and then we’ll start the decrease again.
There is not much new around here. Things have really been quiet as everyone is just staying in trying to keep warm. My Thursday evening Bible study was even cancelled. I didn’t want to go out anyway.
Today I’ll spend some time doing the weekly ‘house blessing’ and just stay in where it’s warm.
Take good care all and keep warm!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will tell of all Your marvelous works.
Psalm 9:1
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
God Bless You!
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me,
and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God,
and in God’s time all things will be made well.
TODAY’S TRIVIA
DITCH NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS DAY
If there's a day to celebrate New Years and to make resolutions for the upcoming year, then there should be a day to ditch those resolutions. That's the reason for today.
If you haven't broken or given up all of those New Year's resolutions, you're doing better than most of us. Maybe, you're well along the way to accomplishing them. Maybe, a few are already checked off on your list. Good for you!
For many of us, New Years resolutions are hanging heavily over our heads. They have become a burden, and perhaps were not such a good idea after all.
Then...... of course, there's the Ne Years resolutions that have already been broken.
If you haven't accomplished, broken, or given up your New Year's resolutions, today is your chance to get out from under them
Today is Judgement Day, a day to see how you measure up, a day to look in the mirror
Today is St. Anthony's Day, a feast day honoring the Egyptian hermit who became the first Christian monk around 300 AD
Andrew Smith Hallidie of San Francisco, California received a patent for a cable car system on this day in 1871. The public transportation system was put into operation in the city by the bay in 1873, providing a fast, safe way to travel up and down San Francisco’s steep hills
1916: The Professional Golfers Association (PGA) was formed in New York City
1972: Memphis renamed Bellvue Street Elvis Presley Boulevard. All the new street signs disappeared immediately
TODAY’S SMILE
Life might be less complicated for all of us if we each received our own LEGO kit at birth. Yes, I realize there is a choking hazard for children under three. But when you are old enough, you can learn a lot from LEGOs.
Mirth is God's medicine. Everybody ought to bathe in it.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Let us strive to enter into that rest.
Hebrews 4:11
Don’t we all long for rest? When we feel agitated, when we are in conflict, or when we are exhausted, we long for nothing so much as peace and tranquility, the ability to set aside all our worries and rest in God’s presence
Don’t be like the people in today’s reading who failed to live out God’s word. They are the ones who never saw God’s rest. Instead, set aside time to listen for God’s word. Then let him answer the longing for rest that is in your heart.
…the “rest” we think we need may be different from what God knows we need. I may think I need less work and more time for reflection, but God may have an entirely new project for me that will energize me more than time off ever could. On the other hand, I may be eager to get back to a task I haven’t completed, but God is inviting me to let it go and wait on him. This is why listening to God should always be our first priority. For with an open heart comes divine refreshment
