TODAY’S QUOTE

HAPPY MONDAY !!
BACK TO WORK
I did get the car unloaded and a few things put away yesterday. It was a quiet day and I pretty much took it easy.
DS#2 called to say he was in an airport waiting for his plane to depart. He is off to a week long school again. He seems to be traveling a lot. I’ll be praying for a safe trip for him.
The week ahead looks uneventful. After work in the evenings I should be able to get a few things accomplished here as the only thing that is on the calendar is Thursday evening Bible Study and Saturday morning I go to get my flu shot.
It will be the usual Monday at work for me doing payroll. My busiest day of the week and it has to be on Monday morning. Guess I’d better have another cup of that good coffee.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their

Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me,
and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God,
and in God’s time all things will be made well.
TODAY IS…JACK –O- LANTERN DAY
The Jack-o-lantern custom comes from Irish folklore. The story tells of a man named Jack who carried an ember in a hollowed out turnip to light his way. So, early Jack-o-lanterns were all made out of turnips. When the Irish came to America, they found that pumpkins were far more plentiful than turnips - and easier to carve. Before flashlights were invented, carved pumpkins with candles inside became part of the Halloween tradition.
