HAPPY MONDAY !!
It was definitely a ‘B’ rated weekend. BRIGHT, BEAUTIFUL AND BUSY. The weather was perfect and the countryside was totally awesome and we did a lot and had lots of fun too!
I put a few pictures in my journal WHAT’S NEW AT MY HOUSE. The link for it is always at the end of this news letter.
Today is supposed to be warm and mostly sunny. Temps will be close to 80 degrees. Tuesday evening is supposed to bring us some showers and then the temps will be going down. The long range forecast for next weekend is partly sunny but much cooler our highs will only be in the 50’s and lows in the 40’s.
My calendar for this week after work in the evening has nothing on it til Thursday and then I’ll be leaving for the campground after work to spend the last of my long 3 day weekends at the camper for this year. The following weekend the camping season ends and our campers will be all winterized and closed up for this year.
I’m so glad this is a short work week. My usual Monday work was done on Friday last week so today will be a very slow and easy day.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY IS…COLUMBUS DAY
Columbus landed in the new world on October 12, 1492. And only 90 men made that voyage. The ships were very small - about as long as a tennis court, and less than 30 feet wide. The Santa Maria had 40 men aboard, the Pinta, 26, and the Nina, 24. Only the Nina and the Pinta returned to Spain. The Santa Maria was shipwrecked on Christmas Day

TODAY’S SMILE
Dear Abby:
I lost my mother several months ago after a lengthy illness. She and Dad had a beautiful marriage that spanned almost 50 years. I never heard them say an angry word to each other. While sorting through some of Mother's papers, I came across the enclosed "Rules for a Happy Marriage." I don't know where she got it or how long she had it, but the list contains some excellent advice . I hope you'll think it's worth sharing with your readers.
Marlene's DaughterRules For A Happy Marriage
1. Never both be angry at the same time.
2. Never yell at each other unless the house is on fire.
3. If one of you has to win an argument, let it be your mate.
4. If you must criticize, do it lovingly.
5. Never bring up mistakes of the past.
6. Neglect the whole world rather than each other.
7. Never go to sleep with an argument unsettled.
8. At least once every day say a kind or complimentary word to your life partner.
9. When you have done something wrong, admit it and ask for forgiveness.
10. It takes two to make a quarrel, and the one in the wrong usually is the onewho does the most talking.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
While still more people gathered in the crowd, Jesus said to them,This generation is an evil generation;it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it,except the sign of Jonah.Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites,so will the Son of Man be to this generation. At the judgment the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generationand she will condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earthto hear the wisdom of Solomon, and there is something greater than Solomon here.At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it,because at the preaching of Jonah they repented, and there is something greater than Jonah here
Luke 11: 29-32
In the book of Jonah only four short chapters we are told the story of the people of Nineveh, and are invited to see ourselves in it. When do we run away, or pretend we don’t hear, when God calls us to act for him?We may not be tossed into a raging sea or be swallowed by a whale! But there are other kinds of storms and times when we have turned a deaf ear to our God. Sometimes we need a strong warning to set us back on our heels.Let us learn from the people of Nineveh, that here’s a time to unhitch ourselves from the clutches of the world and all its trappings, to step back and look at our life and our priorities and ask, where is God in my life?
