Blue skies and sunshine all the way around.
This kind of weather is really just grand for camping !

TODAY’S PRAYERS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
God Bless You!

TODAY IS…WILDLIFE DAY
Today we celebrate wildlife conservation. It's our responsibility to preserve wildlife and their habitats - even if it's in our own backyard. Buy some birdseed to help our feathered friends make it through the winter. And find out more about wildlife and the environment here:

TODAY’S SMILE
As the mother of three children, I always fixed breakfast for us before they and I left for school. One morning when I arrived at the middle school where I teach, I noticed a young man hanging around my desk as I readied my supplies for the day."You sure smell good today, Mrs. G," he said."Why thanks, Bobby," I replied, trying to remember which perfume I had squirted on before leaving the house.
"...you smell like bacon!"
The moral to this story is that men of ALL ages will respond to THIS perfume!
ONE MORE…
Tommy had been elected president of the neighborhood club. His surprised mother asked how it was that he had received such a high honor."Well, Mother, it was this way," Tommy explained. "The members thought of electing me the treasurer, but I couldn't count. They wanted to elect me secretary, but I couldn't write. So they decided to elect me president."

Most everyone understands that obesity is truly becoming a problem in our culture. I have recently heard myself saying, "There is nothing wrong with me that losing fifty pounds wouldn't fix." The problem is even becoming epidemic among our nation's youth.Well, now Kaiser Permanente - America's largest Health Maintenance Organization - has launched an online game aimed at kids 8-10 years old called "The Incredible Adventures of the Amazing Food Detective."In it, you can play "fun games" such as "Whack A Snack," or "Zap the TV." There are printable scavenger hunts that teach your kids how to read food labels, and hands-on experiments in measuring the amount of sugar in drinks, among other healthy and family-oriented activities. The best part? You can only play for twenty minutes at a time, and then it locks your child out for at least an hour. It hopes he or she gets up and moves around. The Incredible Adventures of the Amazing Food Detective

TODAY’S REFLECTION
They were fearful and terrified…but Jesus said, ‘Why are you troubled?…It is I myself!’
Luke 24:37-38
They had betrayed their Master. When Jesus needed them they had scampered. And now they were having to deal with the shame.
Seeking forgiveness, but not knowing where to look for it, the disciples came back. They gravitated to that same upper room that contained the sweet memories of broken bread and symbolic wine…
They came back. Each with a scrapbook full of memories and a thin thread of hope. Each knowing that it is all over, but in his heart hoping that the impossible will happen once more. “If I had just on more chance.”…
And just when the gloom gets good and thick, just when their wishful thinking is falling victim to logic, just when someone says, “How I’d give my immortal soul to see him one more time,” a familiar face walks through the wall.
My, what an ending. Or, better said, what a beginning!
