Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

I'm thankful for skyscrapers giving us more room for growth!
As a child, my parents took me to the top of the Empire State Building in NYC and remember feeling I was on top of the world. Since then, so many skyscrapers have eclipsed it, but that memory remains. Since 9/11 I really have no desire to visit one. In fact, a former firefighter I knew advised people not to stay in a hotel above the 7th floor because that's only as high as their ladders will reach.
I can't help but thinking of 9/11 when I think about skyscrapers. A day we will never forget.
