The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.
Slightly adapted from one of my morning devotionals
83 DAYS UNTIL WINTER
DS#1 and family
Life is a special occasion!
Today is National Sons Day which celebrates and recognizes sons of all ages, and they joy they bring to their parents. Let this day remind us to impart the qualities of respect and commitment to our sons as they grow.
Celebrate today remember tell them how much they mean to you. Show your love and appreciation.
To see the bright side, polish the dull side

A son has a special way of adding joy to every day!
I was blessed to have a family of 7 children. Six boys and thankfully one girl. They are all grown now with families of their own. I loved being a mom and keeping a home for them, but I also was a single working mom after DDH passed away. They are my whole life and the reason I do what I do. They inspire me and motivate me too.
I also have a SIL that is just like having another son. H does a lot for me and I’m living in his house right now. And each one is shown in my pictures today.
Strange as it seems, I once thought I’d never have one baby let alone seven. I was almost 27 by the time I had my first one, so I was older than most of the mom’s I knew. At the time most married out of high school and then had children within a year or so. Each one was and is a miracle. True gifts of God.
Today is another basketball game for my grandson. They are definitely being challenged by more completion than last year. They lost their last game so I can hardly wait to see how they play today. It should be exciting.
It’s a cool start to the day but will be warming up again with a high predicted to be 98 degrees. Still very like summer.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

A son may outgrow your lap, but he will never outgrow your heart.

I've only one son, but he's my biggest blessing. I know you feel the same about each of yours. (Fingers crossed for the grandson's b-ball game!)
Six sons - you are blessed. I have one and I think I will tell him how great he is now! Thanks.
WE have two boys Sherry always wanted a girl, and was thrilled when that ONLY Grand daughter came along. But there are always ups and downs with boys. We have had them all many ups and many downs. Enjoyed the visit you have a beautiful family!! WE think PROUDLY of you and how you have handled life, many would (and have) collapsed under that load.. Love you lady take care of yourself..
