The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.
Slightly adapted from one of my morning devotionals
85 DAYS UNTIL WINTER
Life is a special occasion!
Today is Crush a Can Day which is a day for you to safely crush a can. There are ways to crush a beverage can. One way is to crush it with your hands or another would be to us a mechanical can crusher.
Beverage cans are made of aluminum or tin plated steel . Worldwide production for all beverage cans is approximately 475 bill cans per year. So it’s best to crush them when they are empty and recycle them.
To celebrate today and crush a can and help to save them for recycling.
To see the bright side, polish the dull side
If you recycle the planet loves you.

I don’t usually drink beverages in cans, I have them in plastic or glass bottles, which should also be crushed and recycled. Recycling is a good way to reuse these products again.
Most of the time I drink water and rarely soda, but I do keep it on hand for when company comes in.
We went to a football stadium yesterday evening to see my grandson play in the band. They put on an entertaining show for us and were very good.
Today is a holiday for everyone in this area, The fair is going on, but we will not be going. I’m not sure what we will be doing but the fair is overpacked they say and too crowded to enjoy it. Yay for Fridays!!!
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
Chairs made of recycled plastic
Recycling turns things into other things, which is like magic
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
12,728. for crushed cans for recycling
12,729. for a fun band performance
12,730. for my family both here and elsewhere!
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
Recycling takes little effort on your part, but makes a big difference to the world.
a smile, a word of bit of love from someone dear…

Celebrate and crush your cans, then recycle!
Years ago. I worked for a company that offered nice employee discounts on appliances and bought a mechanical can crusher. How fun to hear it 'eat' the tin cans! Recycling counts!
My husband John is a soda addict. Therefore we have bags of cans from the past months. He uses the can crusher, takes them out. Some Gr=kids thought it was a fun thing to do.They didn't stick with it long, though.
I am with you - I don't ever drink from a can - I have tea or water....
I love root beer floats.
I do usually crush cans after they are used. Just not too many anymore. Yes I love fairs, but I too cannot abide crowds too mush anymore.
Love your way from Pennsylvania...
