The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.
Slightly adapted from one of my morning devotionals
82 DAYS UNTIL WINTER
Life is a special occasion!
Today is National Coffee Day which celebrates the popular drink. It’s a world commodity that is second only to oil. According to legend, a six century goatherd named Kaldi realized the coffee berries had a stimulating effect on his goats as they ate from the bushes. He began experimenting with the seeds. A century later it emerged as a popular drink in Arabia.
Today over 400 billion cups of coffee are consumed each year. Celebrate today and take a coffee break, or two! Enjoy !
To see the bright side, polish the dull side
May your coffee be strong and your Monday be short
I love coffee and usually drink two cups of it a day. I like my coffee black, with no cream or sugar. It tastes best that way to me and I’ve tried several different ways.
I rarely buy coffee outside the home because it is so expensive and I really don’t go out much anymore. But if I get to go to Starbucks, my favorite would be a carmel macchiato. My Florida son and his wife told me about them when I was visiting them a long time ago and I’ve loved them ever since.
When I was first married, my husband couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t talk to him early in the morning. I was ok after I had my coffee and told him just to wait til I drank my coffee. He woke up every day ready to go, but not me. When we had a family, I’d get up early just so I could enjoy my coffee by myself.
The days here continue to be the same with high’s in the 90’s and cool mornings in the 60’s . It’s looking to be that way all next week too.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
Good friends and great coffee make the perfect blend.
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
12,737. For my coffee every day!
12,738. For a treat now and then from Starbucks
12,739. For continued warm weather with little or no humidity. It’s comfortable.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
A coffee a day keeps the grumpy away.
a smile, a word of bit of love from someone dear…

ADVICE FOR TODAY

Love,
ma
Your site looks askew--on purpose? Coffee. Oh, Coffee. Yes, I'll have a cup of coffee. I stopped drinking Starbuck's, it was too expensive and too bitter. McDonald's has a good coffee.
Oh yes....where would I be without my coffee... and what a coincidence its national coffee day...I just found a recipe for coffee brownies Im going to try this week
Have a blessed week x
Yes, I LOVE my coffee -- straight up black and strong, thank you! I've not seen that Starbucks Fall Blend but may have to try it. Your caramel macchiato sounds so good -- like liquid dessert!
Of course we have discussed coffee after reading. Thanks for the history lesson. We were trying to figure how much we drink a year. Counting mugs, which are 2 cups each, we probably drink 4 cups a day. LOL So we do contribute to that large #, Love you and wishing you the best from Pennsylvania for a few more days. Take care Cow Girl.
Now this is my kind of day - I love coffee - I have one cup a day - it's strong Starbucks French Roast from a K-cup. I just love it and have to start my day with it.
