ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, JULY 19TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
We dare not trust our will for making our house pleasant to our friend, so we buy ice cream.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
I always have some vanilla ice cream in the freezer, so I can fix whatever flavor sundae I want. I’ve not been eating as much it lately, but I do have some small cones I can put a scoop into to enjoy today.
I had a great day with DD yesterday and kept cool in her pool. Although the place I parked at her house, in the shade wasn’t a good choice. The tree was dripping sap for some reason, so today I’ll be going out for a car wash. I’m still streaming church services from my church and staying in where it’s safe. The Covoid numbers are not going down here, so I figure it’s best. Next week will be busier than most. I have a hair cut on Wednesday, a follow up doctor appointment on Thursday, and a birthday party for DS#6’s 2 children on Saturday. They couldn’t have parties when the kids actual birthdays were due to the shut down because of the virus. Now at least we are allowed to gather as long as safe distancing practices are in place. Masks worn and of course regular hand washing done. Our social bubbles are not very big and we’ve all managed to keep safe and healthy. The fear is at this point that we’ll get shut down again and none of us wants that for sure.
Be safe, keep cool and drink plenty of water.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

GOD BLESS YOU!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
My advice to you is not to inquire why or whither, but just enjoy your ice cream while it’s on your plate that’s my philosophy.
Thornton Wilder
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.
I might have to have some ice cream today. Cute pictures of your grands enjoying ice cream treats. You do have a busy week coming up Ma. Sounds fun too. I bet you will see a drop in your blood pressure numbers with the medication and your healthier eating

Oh, those pictures are tempting! Growing up, I don't recall having real ice cream but once or twice a year while on vacation. (My parents always bought something called ice milk in these square cartons.) Tom always keeps a carton of vanilla in our freezer; more often than not he thaws frozen strawberries and puts those on top. Lifting a prayer for your upcoming doctor's appointment. Like Betty, I'll bet he's going to be impressed with your numbers. Please let us know!
Perfect, I just finished an ice cream cone a little while ago. Love all the photos as always. Glad you had a nice time yesterday. Have a great Sunday :)
I can't have ice cream, I am lactose intolerant! OH well, good thing I like frozen yogurt and it is lower in calories too which is a good thing for me!
:-)
TAke care, my friend! x
In my years as a teacher, I honored Nat'l Ice cream day by bringing in my church and made vanilla ice cream with my 3rd graders. Also provided commercial ice cream. IN the taste tests, students always like the commercial better. Oh, well.
