ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR TUESDAY, JULY 14TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.
72 DAYS UNTIL FALL

Life is a special occasion!!

Today is Pandemonium Day which is a day that is filled with chaos, terror and disorder. The word pandemonium is Greek and stands for the capital of hell. All demons are considered to live there . This imagination goes back to the back to the verses of the epic poem, Paradise Lost by John Milton, a blind 17th century author.
On Pandemonium Day people should except that chaos is part of life and they can never eliminate it completely. But of course there are may ways to fight chaos every day. Post it notes, shelves, to do lists, boxes and rules of living together help us to keep track of the chaos. and not only on Pandemonium Day.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Three rules of work: out of clutter find simplicity, from discord, find harmony, in the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.
Albert Einstein
As far as I can see, it doesn’t matter what circumstances we live in. What matters is what we do with them. There is always a way to make life better. And our attitude counts for a lot. Keeping order in our lives is important and makes life easier for all of us.
There is nothing wrong with a little chaos in our lives Unexpected challenges are what makes us stronger. Learn from your past mistakes.. Look at them as a learning experience , They can be a good thing in the long run.
Live in the present and not in the past. The past is over Move on and enjoy every moment. Take stock of what needs to be accomplished and move forward with that information. Live your life in order by looking forward, not back.
Our crazy Pandomenic lives can heap stress on our health, our relationships and our work. So calm the storms and bring order in all our crazy lives. Make a plan and work your plan as best you can. It’s worth what ever time you put into it. We can make decisions today that will determine what kind of tomorrow we’ll have. Set your priorities . When we focus on the priorities, it all seems to come together easily.
Live your life one day at a time, Yesterday is gone and we only have today.
Today’s recipe is for Roasted Veggies
2 c. broccoli florets
1 summer squash, sliced and quartered
1 zucchini sliced and quartered.
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 onion chopped
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp thyme
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Lightly oil a baking sheet or coat with nonstick spray. Place broccoli florets, zucchini, squash and red bell pepper and onion in a single layer on to the prepared baking sheet. Add olive oil, vinegar, garlic and thyme. Season with salt and pepper as desired. Gently toss to combine. I also tossed some paremasan cheese on top of mine.
Place in oven and bake 12 to 15 minutes or until tender.Serve immediately. I also had some baby spinach so I tossed that into the mixture and it was delicious. You could also add some sweet potatoes to the mix to make it more meal worthy if you’d like.
You can serve this as a side dish or put on rice, pasta or buttered toast . It’s also good next to an omelet or scrambled eggs.
Today’s picture are from the past. A little summer fun for DS#2 an DS#4 and families out on the boat. Looks so refreshing on a hot summer day!
I hope you all have aTERRIFIC Tuesay!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more, it turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.
Melody Beattie

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!

Enjoy the fresh veggies of summer !
I love roasted veggies - yummy. I'm pretty sure this is Pandemonium year!
Yummmm on the fresh veggies! I bought a big bag of fresh spinach just this morning. I hadn't thought of pairing it with an omelet, but that sounds good ... and visually appealing, as well.
Interesting about the origin of the term Pandemonium. Hmmmm, pandemic/pandemonium.
Yummy with the roasted veggies,! Definitely a healthy recipe! I think 2020 so far is one big pandemonium year lol!
