ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Happy Birthday to you♥
Today is also Rubber Eraser Day which honors the invention of erasers that allow you to get rid your mistakes. On April 15, 1770, Joseph Priestly described a vegetable gum to remove pencil marks. He dubbed the substance rubber.
An eraser or rubber is a article of stationery that is used for removing pencil markings. Erasers have a rubbery consistancy and are often pink or white. Some pencils have an easer at one end. Typically erasers are made from synthetic rubber but more expensive or specialized erasers are vinyl , plastic, or gum like materials. Cheaper erasers are made of synthetic soy-based gum.
It’s ok to make a mistake or two. Just find your favorite eraser to fix the mistake. Whether your an artist, writer, student or accountant, an eraser comes in handy.
Today used to be the day we filed our Taxes on so it’s a good day to have an eraser on hand as we fill out the forms.
This yearTax Day is July 15. The IRS extended the filing dead line
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
When you write and draw in pencil, your eraser is your best friend.

Thankfully I was able to see this son on our virtual Easter chat. But meanwhile he is actually far away so today’s birthday will be celebrated with a card sent in the mail with lots of love and birthday wishes. I miss him very much and was glad to see they are all doing ok. To have good health these days means more than anything it seems.
The first picture above shows him with a party hat on but that was from New Years Eve when we were all together.
Mistakes are a part of life and we all have some at one time or another so it’s good to have an eraser on hand. The only thing we need to remember is to grow from them, learn the lesson and move on better and wiser.
My mistake was to forget to have enough birthday cards on hand for all the birthdays coming up, but I’m making do with some generic note cards and will still be sending a card out in the make. I think that I should buy enough for a year at a time, not a month at a time from now on.
I hope you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!

Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Life is too short for erasers, just draw a line through it and move on.

So thankful to be able to celebrate another birthday today !
Can think of many areas that I wish came with a eraser:)
Happy birthday to your son! Glad you got to virtually chat with him on Easter and got to see him on your Christmas vacation! I'm sure he appreciated any note from you wishing him a happy birthday and a good year ahead! I haven't used an eraser in a long time but they sure came in handy when I was in school!
betty
Happy Birthday wishes lifted for your DS#2! That's interesting about erasers history and differing kinds. I recall even stress-chewing one or two while in school.
Good thing God has a BIG eraser!
