ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR FRIDAY, APRIL 3RD, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is World Party Day which is a synchronized global celebration that seeks to make the world a better place. The motto for this holiday is: Party is the opposite of war. The idea behind it is that we can only create a better reality by taking positive action and celebrating life instead of passively promoting peace.
The first World Party day, known as Party I, took ploce on April 3, 1996. The quantum fiction novel, Flight, by Vanna Bonta inspired the event. The story ends with a countdown to a mass celebration where all humanity is united. Readers took to the idea and organized a real worldwide party.
Technology brings us together through video and the internet allowing us to connect long distance and celebrate all our favorite days.
Wherever you are, celebrate with friends and family today and pick a theme that sounds best. Go online and create a video chat or pictures to share of your party.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Life is a party. Dress for it.

I’m not into science fiction novels but I have to say I love the idea of a worldwide party. Uniting everyone in the world. These days it seems the only thing we have in common with there rest of the world is a terrible virus that has brought terror into our lives. And we all have good eason to be afraid. The number of deaths has grown each day. I know its’s not possible to have a party together but we can have a virtual party. We don’t always have to gather in the same location to celebrate a specific event or day.
One of the biggest celebrations of the year is coming up and that is Easter Day and our family has decided this will be a family gathering on the internet. I’m looking forward to having plenty of pictures to share. Today’s pictures are of our celebration last year when were actually all together. At least my family all heve members to celebrate with and I can’t wait to see their happy faces. The very first picture, shown above, was made by my very talented DD and she hung it in her newly remodeled kitchen, which has become my favorite place to gather.Last time I was there was for my birthday several weeks ago now.
Easter will come whether we’re ready or not, but I for one didn’t expect to give up church for lent..Lent is suppose to prepare us for the Easter celebration and I think this year we’ve all learned to appreciate each other more than ever before. We’ve got so much to be thankful for. We are all healthy and safe. Not a small thing at all in this day and age.
I hope you have a FANTASTIC Friday!!

our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !

I'm so thankful for technology that lets us connect no matter where we are.
Cute picture, the kids with their Easter baskets.
That is neat how you plan to celebrate your family Easter on the internet Ma! Very clever idea. I can't wait to see what you share about it!

That's a splendid idea to celebrate Easter via the internet! Your daughter's signage is sure appealing. Last year I spotted some kitchen towels embroidered, "The Gathering Place." I so regret not having bought them because now they're no longer available.
PS - It's not exactly a 'World Party' -- but if you're on Facebook, you might want to check out the Red Ribbon Mission: ".....inspired by seeing people in other counties tie red ribbons on street signs, mailboxes, and porches as a statement of faith & belief that God is still in control and has the master plan in the midst of this worldly chaos."
World party day! Wonderful idea.
Hard to believe it is almost Easter.
