ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR TUESDAY, APRIL 14TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is the International Moment of Laughter Day which aims to get people to laugh, because laugher is the best medicine. Moment of Laugher Day was created by Humerologist Izzy Gessell to encourage people to laugh.
Laughter is an involuntary reaction to external or internal stimuli. Laughter can arise from such activities as being tickled or from humorous stories or thoughts. Very commonly it is considered a visual expression of a number of positive emotional states, such as joy, mirth, happiness , relief, etc.
A link between laughter and healthy function of blood vessels was first reported in 2005 by researchers at the University of Maryland Medical center with the fact that laughter causes the dilation of the inner linings of blood vessels and increases blood flow.
Laughter has also been shown to have beneficial affects on various other aspects of biochemistry. For example laughter was been shown to lead to reductions in stress hormones. When laughing the brain also releases endorphins that can relieve some physical pain. It also strengthens our immune systems and relaxes muscles.
To celebrate today laugh often and loudly . Watch a funny movie, read an amusing book or share your favorite jokes and indulge in some good old fashioned silliness. .
Laughter is the best medicine!
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it’s the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It’s probably the most important thing in a person.
Audrey Hepburn
My children have always brought a lot of laughter into my life and with so many of them, I can say I’ve always stayed pretty heathy and happy. Seems to have made a difference in my life. There were difeinely more days of happiness than not. I can remember trying to tickle someone out of their bad mood. I’d give them a reason to laugh, when they didn’t want to.
Of course I often got back as good as I gave.. There was a lot of laughter and joy in our family and there still is. My grandchildren still give me plenty of reasons to laugh. The other day DDIL#2 said she’d commented that Her head felt like it was axloding and her daughter, our Cutie Patootie, stated that she’d like to see that. Not what her mom wanted to hear at all but it made us all laugh.
A little humor can take the stress out of most situations. I saw a post the other day about social distancing showing kids with inner tubes around them bouncing into each other and it reminded me of the days when the boys used to strap pillows to their bellies and bounce into each other. There never was and still is never a dull moment at my house. Nor did I have a lamp shade that stood up straight. Why get mad when you have a choice to be glad instead.
Laugh and be happy, it will do you a lot of good.
I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.

Laughter is the best medicine !
There is nothing like a good laugh!! Happy Tuesday.
Reading what your "Cutie Patootie" said made ME laugh, too. See how that works? Now THAT's a contagion I'd love to see more of.
Always good to laugh! There is always something to laugh about too if we look for it!
