ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR MONDAY, APRIL 27TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
There’s always room for a story that can transport people to another place.
J.K. Rowling
I think it’s important to keep telling our family stories so that we can pass on our history to people in the future. My folks always told a lot of stories about they way they lived and I like to pass them on to my family and hopefully they’ll pass them along to their children.
My favorite stories to read have always been fairy tales, the stories with a happy ending. These are mostly fictional and yet I still like historical stories too, and some of them are based on the real lives of people . I’ve told a lot of stories in my life and love to read. Libraries are one of my favorite places and I used to take the babes with me when I went. They do have a a lot of good programs for children.
Before all this pandomedic happened, I was able to have my kindle connected to the library so I still get library books all the time to read. It doesn’t cost a thing to do it and I’ve had hours and hours of entertainment from all the books I’ve read. I just finished reading another Daniel Steele book called the Duchess and am starting a new one by Kristen Hannah called Home Again.. On the bookshelf for future reading is What Makes a Family by Debbie Mocomber and Unsheltered by Barbara Kingsolver. There is no end to the books you can choose and I’ve learned a lot from reading books that I’d never have known otherwise.
Telling stories is definitely important so we can pass our history on. I have a lot of real books here too and that is what the pictures of. Lots of stories to read.
I hope you have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !

What’s New at My House

Keep on telling the stories, We each have o different one to share.
One of my earliest memories was my father coming to sit by my bedside and telling me 'make-up stories.' Too, I loved going to the public library and sitting in a circle to hear the librarian read to us. When we moved I got rid of many books; and last year donated another box to the V.A. Hospital book-mobile. So thankful for library's on-line resources! Happy Monday!
I like Kristen Hannah's writing and I have read "Home Again." Her best one I read was Nightingale; almost burned the house down when I read it since I left potatoes and eggs to cook and forgot about them as I was so engrossed in the book. I hear that the local libraries are doing virtual story times these days. Not sure how that is working. I loved taking the kids to the library and story time when they were growing up. I was enjoying taking computer classes at our local library until this all broke out and libraries closed. I hope to resume them when and if things open up again.
