ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is International Chefs Day which is ain international observance considered to be a professional day of all chefs around the world. This holiday was established under the initiative of Warld Association of Chef’s Societies in 2004. Celebrations of today usually includes culinary contests, that are organized in my big cities. The chefs of leading restaurants come to the contest and cook to show their skills
Chefs will often teach children cooking and explain the importance of healthy food. Young people may learn more about the profession of chef and get valuable lessons at workshops organized by prominent chefs.
Today is meant to elevate the image of this profession and raise public awareness of the importance of healthy and good food and issues of its wasting.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The kitchen really is the castle itself. This is where we spend our happiest moments and where we find the joy of being family.
Mario Beatalli
I have several would be chefs in my family. It seems most all of them like to cook, including the grand children and that is what the pictures are of today. When my boys were young, they were always hungry and therefore always in the kitchen, and that is how they learned to cook. I’d put them to work and taught them what I was doing. They were willing and able to help out a lot. When I went back to work they could start supper for me and when I’d get home they were just about done and that helped out a lot, believe me.
DD wasn’t in the kitchen half as much as boys, she was more of a social butterfly. Still since she’s married with a home of her own, she’s become a pretty good cook too. The grandchildren have followed suit and love to help out in the kitchen too. I don’t know if any one of them wants to be a chef, but it’s a great profession, especially if you love food.
I’m not a chef, but I do love cooking and have a lot of recipes to share. Today’s dinner was made yesterday and I shared the recipe for Pork Roast with apples and sauerkraut.Today I’ll simply heat it up for dinner.
Being on my own, I’ve learned to love leftovers and usually only cook a few times a week. It’s wonderful not to cook every day.
It’s hard to believe it is Sunday again already. Hopefully I’ll be off to church as I usually am. I had one of the grands overnight and it’ll be a slower start than usual, but we should be able to get there on time.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Cooking is the ultimate giving.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7525. for good food and the chefs that prepare it.
7526. for a family that likes to eat
7527. for plenty of recipes to share.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I think good chefs love good food.
I wish I liked to cook as much as I like to eat! :-)
Hahaha … Kay G. just said what I was thinking!
How fortunate your 'boys' pitched in with preparing your family's suppers. Personal effort, to me, means more than any gifts. Since I worked yesterday, this feels like Saturday -- hence, our roast has to wait for faux-Sunday (Monday).
'Looking forward to seeing your pork 'n sauerkraut recipe!
Son is really learning to be a chef under a "master" in Italian cooking. He truly find his "niche" in life; something he truly enjoys doing. Hubby loves to cook and can mix spices and ingredients together to delicious meals. I can follow a recipe, LOL. I'm like Kay G and Myra; I wish I liked cooking as much as I liked eating :)
You have a lot of great looking chefs in your family with I'm sure delicious items made to be enjoyed!
