Today is also Ballons Around the World Day which is a celebration of the the joy and delight that balloons bring to our lives.  To mark the occsission, ballon artists from around the world will showcase the art of ballon twisting and decorating.

The first rubber balloons initiated  London.  Today Millions fo balloons are manufactured daily in a number of different countries. 

Guaranteed to put a smile on anyone’s face balloons come in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes and can be used to play a number of different games or for colorful decorations.  To celebrate today try to creates some of your own balloon art.

If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .

As always this granddaughter’s birthday is another long distance one and a card was sent out once again full of love and birthday wishes.  I didn’t send her any balloons, but perhaps I should have.  They are lots of fun to give and to get.  

DS#5 and DD came by Monday evening and helped me to get the curtains up so that is what the picture is of below.  They are a blessing to me and help out in so many different ways and I’m thankful for them.  I think the room looks much cozier now than it did with blinds at the window.  I’m hoping they’ll provice some warmth in the winter.  

I still have to put my celebration banners back up  Maybe I can get that done today.  

It’s time for me to do some leaf duty outside once again as the leaves from the neighbors tree have blown into my yard. But they say it will be much cooler by the end of the week, so I think I’ll wait until then to do it.  My own tree has not even changed color yet and is still very green.  The only thing it has falling is acorns and the squirrels are enjoying them.  

Last year it was Thanksgiving before the leaves stopped falling and I did leaf duty for the last time.  I suppose it will be much the same this year.  

Anyway it’s good exercise for me and gets me outdoors.
