ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is International Skeptics Day which is a day to query each and everything like a real skeptic would do. Being a skeptic does not exactly mean to not believe anything but always keep in mind that things could be different from the way they seem. Scrutiniing things instead of accepting them can lead to brand new insights.
International Skeptics Day celebrates true facts and the exposal of wrong ones by being a skeptic and asking the right questions. If nobody had eve been skeptic about established facts then people would still believe the earth is flat. The origin of this day is not clear, but everyone can take part in it by questioning things and search for evidence before you believe.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Every person who has mastered a profession is a skeptic concerning it.
George Bernard Shaw
It is always good to know the facts before you believe something. Not everything is as it seems. It’s always good to ask questions and there is no such thing as a stupid question. How would we learn anything, if we didn’t ask. The news is full of fake news these days, so don’t believe everything you hear or read. Know the facts.
Thankfully we have a way to research most anything these days thanks to the internet. But you have to be careful where you go to find out your facts and use only reliable and truthful resources. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Until a few days ago, we thought that summer would never end. It didn’t seem like fall at all. Appearances were deceiving although the calendar said it was fall, it didn’t seem like it. But now with a cold front moving in it’s colder and signs of fall are appearing everywhere. The leaves are beginning to change on the trees and that says it all. What would fall be without colorful leaves.
Today we’re to be mid 60’s which means I may put a light jacket on when I go out to church this morning. The proof is in the pudding. It’s fall and it is definitely cooler. The evidence is right before us. The pictures today are of a beautiful fall ride I took a couple of year ago.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Inquiry and doubt are essemtial checks against deceptions, self deception and error.
Richard Carrier
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

7505. for facts that can not be questioned
7506. for fall and all of it’s beauty
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!

Fall is here there is no denying it. The proof is in the air.
Those were great pictures of fall from last year, Ma! So true about being skeptical about some things until we research to see if they are valid or not. And I agree, there is no question that is silly. Its how we learn things and then make the discovery if the info is true or not.

Unfortunately, 'fake news' is everywhere. Personally, I dislike having to do research. But having been embarrassed, I'm learning not always to take someone's FB post as gospel. Happy Sunday!
74 days until Christmas. Wow!
